The old legends speak of a place in the far reaches of the void, a place where life found its roots, where gods walked among men. But humanity reached too high, fingers grasping for a power they could not comprehend, and this displeased Odin the Allfather. To punish them for their pride, he gathered all mankind in his great hands and flung them into the stars, scattering them far and wide into the shadows of the night sky. Lost amid the galaxy’s sea, humanity could never find its way back to the roots of the life-tree, Yggdrasil. They travelled far, discovering untold mysteries, races, and sights. They have mapped much of Yggdrasil’s many branches, but none have found that most treasured of planets - the ancient world of Valhalla.
Your clans are determined to change this.
An alliance of planets have come together with the explicit purpose of launching an expedition into the void in search of Valhalla. A grand fleet of spacefaring ships has been built, and the time has come to collect the crew of brave souls who will sail through the stars in search of a legend.

Create a Viking
First, it's time to create your Viking! There are many Viking clans from many different planets, and there are many different skills available to learn. You need to do three things to create a Viking: 1. Pick a clan. 2. Pick a specialty. 3. Name your Viking!
Pick a clan from the list below - and choose carefully! Each clan has its strengths and weaknesses, and they just may affect your experience with the quest!
CLAN OF THE BEAR - The Vikings of this clan hail from the planet of Niflheim - a world of blizzards, ice, and mist. As such, they are particularly well-suited to snowy climates and can assist their crew in such worlds. However, they fare poorly in areas of high heat and dryness.
CLAN OF THE DEER - Deer Clan Vikings from the green planet of Alfheim are very skilled hunters that can take down any kind of prey, no matter the size. They have the ability to find food for their crew in any environment. However, they are easily defeated by illness.
CLAN OF THE DRAGON - From the fiery world of Muspelheim, Wyrm Vikings thrive in hot and arid regions. They can provide valuable aid to their crew on volcanically active planets. However, they freeze in cold climates and are very unsuited to snow.
CLAN OF THE RAVEN - Vanaheim is a planet of shadows and mystery, and Raven Vikings are much the same. They have closely guarded secrets of healing and magic. However, they lack functional survival skills and cannot travel alone.
CLAN OF THE HORSE - Horse clan Vikings hail from the planet of Svartalfheim, a mineral-rich world that has done much to sustain its residents. Horse Vikings can make any planet habitable for their crew. However, this is only possible if they have a Snake clan Viking to work with.
CLAN OF THESNAKE - Nidavellir is one of Svartalfheim's moons, and is home to the technologically advanced Snake clan. These Vikings can use their technology to discover secrets that other clans cannot. However, this is only possible if they have a Horse clan Viking to work with.
Next, your Viking needs a job on the crew! Pick from one of the following specialties - each specialty includes skills that may affect your adventures!
NAVIGATOR - These Vikings are skilled at map-reading and have an impeccable sense of direction. WARRIOR - These Vikings are skilled in weaponcraft and combat in any situation. LOREMASTER - These Vikings have an encyclopedic knowledge of all settled worlds, history, and cultures. INFILTRATOR - These Vikings are masters of stealth, secrecy, and deception. NATURALIST - These Vikings are skilled at using the environment to their advantage. DIPLOMAT - These Vikings are able to communicate and negotiate with friends and foes.
Finally, you need to give your Viking a name! You can come up with one on your own or use a Viking name generator.
Once you've completed all three steps, you can submit your Viking to me! All Vikings will earn 10k points on an animal. Just message me with your clan, specialty, and name.
BUT WE'RE NOT DONE YET!
Join a Crew
Once you've created your Viking, you need to join a crew! You will form a team of at least 2 Vikings to pilot a ship through the upcoming adventures. Who you have on your team - the specialites or clan members - is completely up to you and your crewmates! The exceptions are Vikings from Clans Raven, Horse, and Snake.
Raven Vikings must have someone else on their crew who is not from the Raven clan. Horse Vikings must have someone else on their crew who is from the Snake clan. Snake Vikings must have someone else on their crew who is from the Horse clan.
Otherwise, go wild! You can advertise for crewmates here in this thread or in the advertising chat. There is no limit to the number of Vikings you can have in your crew.
If you cannot find a crewmate, message me!
Once your crew has been put together, you need to name your ship! Work together to come up with a name for the ship you will use to go on your adventures. Your ship name will essentially be your team name.
When you have a crew and a ship name, have one player message me with the list of crew members (either their HP names or their Viking names) and the name of your vessel! All crew members will receive 5 XP points at this time!
If you haven't joined a crew or submitted a ship name by 11:59 pm HP time on Sunday, Jan. 31 - you'll miss out on the XP points!
With that, grab your plasma axes, prep your warpaint, and get your Viking on! Message me if you have any questions :D Have fun!

The massive command ship is like nothing seen before. A unique project built in space, the Sleipnir orbits around Vanaheim, awaiting the crews that will sail the ships docked at its sides. Massive thrusters will allow it to carry all ships in the Sleipnir fleet to different branches of the galaxy. They need only decide where to begin.
The crews are docking, readying their ships for the voyage ahead. The glow of Sleipnir’s thrusters can be seen from the planet below, and those who look up into the stars above send a quick prayer to Odin for the safe travels of the brave souls onboard.
The crews have gathered on deck of the Sleipnir, and it’s time to cast the vote on where their journey will begin. Take care, voyagers, and make a smart choice!
