I've been looking at trying my hand again at some simple graphics to see how much I've forgotten and it's lead me to a couple of different questions already. 

My first is with unsplash - what's the correct way to credit? As there is the photographers name and also an @ for each photo. 
Also, do you notify the person when you use the stock? From what I can see the website says the stock is free to use and you aren't required to let anyone know. Unlike deviantart where you follow the indiviual persons stock rules.

I've only ever used stock in the past from deviantart so this is all new to me. 

Talking about deviantart - its so messed up now and difficult to use?! Does anyone have any tips how to work the new format of the website? Or if there is anyway of reverting to the old/original version? 

Also if anyone has any other stock website advice (and information on how to use those sites).

With crediting, it's whatever would take you directly to the photographers page.

I have stock you can absolutely use on deviantart. Ignore my old stock rules as long as you credit me on image I'm all good!

also yeah nadhima like I said I must have overlooked it when I first looked at that section before I posted this. Found it when I had another look when you posted the link 

honestly, for DA, i've started just writing down the names of the stock providers and making a list so that I can just check out their individual pages vs attempting to search for images. otherwise finding stock is next to impossible. :(

I hate finding stock on Deviantart.. but I found that other people are starting to make stock folders.. so the other night I searched "Buckskin stock" and when searching it popped up stock folders.. if that makes sense. and I'll go rumaging through them.  If it doesn't make sense I can go take a screenshot xD

Unsplash is free stock, so I never message anyone but I do "like" their photos if I use them, and they seem to appreciate it, because I've had some that followed me back for just putting their photos in my favorites collection.

Deviant art's big change is the worst site update I can think of, possibly ever. It is completely unuser friendly now, and like with most 'big sites' caters to the purchase options before anything else. I try not to use it unless I absolutely have too.

Flickr is my go to now, it seems to be better focused (than unsplash) , and I like how wasy it is to get to the actual images I can use.

it frustrates me so much these changes to deviantart and im glad that atleast i'm not the only one struggling.
