I recently traveled to Las Vegas, NV to help out some friends as "show help" this past week. I was there from Sunday (14th) to Saturday (20th). Show help includes feeding, cleaning stalls, saddling horses, bathing, medicating, applying therapeutic remedies, preparing them for practice, preparing them to show for the trainer, preparing for them to show for clientel, and so forth.

We brought 17 horses with us as well as 2 turn back horses and one pony (the trainers sons) with us. There were two areans showing at the same time each day starting at 8am. 

Generally my day started at 4am and procedded with everthing listed above until about 11pm or later each day. I got an average of 30hrs of sleep across the 7 day period (which is absolutely insane).

Looks like you had a blast!  Happy to see shows despite Covid-times.

They are very strict on enforcing the mask rules as well as people walking around sanitizing things as the day goes. When riding it was required as people were generally not very close together and gets kind of hot when you are riding for so long 😅

Same thing for us in the dairy show world, masks were strickly enforced in the barn, but was optional to wear a mask in the ring - that made no sense to me ( I wore a mask in the ring)

I may get to start showing soon or at least getting to practice some for myself instead of just getting horses ready for the trainer and I am really looking forward to that!

It has been quite some time since I have been able to work horses and practice and I really miss it!

I'll cross my toes n fingers that you get to do it, but you have to do everything twice once for me :)
