I find that on my retirement page I have loads of storexstore 1gen animals that I never bred but for the most part trained them to over 1mil points. I probably have so many from forgetting to breed when bieng on and off the game so my question to you is if this happens to you, do you keep them or do you just retire them?

It depends.

For some breeds I keep them until I do a retirement breeding. Or others I retire. It all depends on how you feel about it.

I retired alot of the ones that had 0 offspring or lines I didn't really care for.

But would you really put all that money into old gen 1 animals? And if so can I ask why? Am I missing something? xD

I would only keep them if you were wanting to keep that specific line. If they didn't make it past gen 1 anyway - I'd just start over xD

The only thing I can see with some of them is that they're low ish numbers of the breed.. idk does that make them worthy of keeping tho lol

I think it depends on what your attachment and motivation behind keeping them is. I know for me, if I've had a Gen 1 animal reach a certain amount of points that has been a record high for me, personally, then I like to keep them, if only for evidence of my personal accomplishments. Of course, I have done the whole retirement thing in the past, aka where they come up as deceased, and have wanted to resurrect lines in the present. But if they have no offspring and no personal best in points, I probably would retire them, as the others have said.

And yet, some players might be interested in taking low ID numbered animals from your hands....Everybody's motivation for keeping older "retired" animals is different, whether they be line holders or not.

I retired almost every gen 1 animal I had if they had no babies.
I also gave any away to those who had their offspring.

Now I only keep the ones that I have babies off, as a general rule.
