Backstory This Saint Bernard line is dedicated to my great grandmother ("Nana") who passed away in 2015 at 96 years old. She was very special in my life. I was her "#1" because I came at a time when she needed something good. Her first husband had just passed away recently before my birth and my aunt (my mother's twin sister) had just been diagnosed with cat scratch fever and been institutionalized for the first time, where she would remain for the next 30ish years. My Nana raised my mother and her sister (her granddaughters) from infancy because their mother (her daughter-in-law) didn't want them. My Nana gave me the Beethoveen and Beethoveen's 2nd movies on VHS (yes they still work and I still watch them!). So I decided to breed Saint Bernards, name them after the characters in these movies, and dedicate the whole line to Nana. As for Chubby's story... It's based off of mine and my Nana's true story explained above. In a small town in Louisiana called Columbia Heights, there was a run-down deserted-looking piece of farmland. On that run-down deserted-looking piece of farmland, there was a run-down little old house. And inside that run-down little old house, there lived the sweet loving Newton family. Any time there was a member of Columbia heights that needed help in any way, the Newtons were always there (even at the expense of their own home). There hasn't been any animals on the Newton farm in years other than a pregnant Saint Bernard female, Dolly. The roof of the little old house needs reshingling. The walls need repainting (inside and out). And it's under foreclosure. The land has been sold off bit by bit for months to keep the family's home going just a little longer. All that's left is the land that the little old house is actually sitting on. But inside, Dolly is preparing to give birth. It was a difficult birth. Dolly didn't survive the birthing process. And all but one puppy was stillborn. His name was Chubby. The Newtons loved this puppy as much as they loved Dolly. Chubby's father was the Saint Bernard in the house next door, Tchaikovsky. Chubby loved the Newton family and farm life so much. He wanted to help them as much as they help everyone else in Columbia Heights. So he entered himself into the 2021 Mascot Contest. |

Find Me A Pic Of Chubby is from a small, fictional town in Louisiana, Columbia Heights. Born to Dolly and the Newton family in a little old farmhouse on a run-down farm in the outskirts of Columbia Heights. His namesake: Dedicated to my late 96 year old great grandmother This photo was taken at my wedding almost 7 years ago. She needed me because her first husband had just passed away, and my mother's twin sister (whom both of which she was the guardian for) had just been admitted into a psychiatric hospital for cat scratch fever prior to my birth. |

Chubby would like to introduce his honorary dedication receiver, Nad's Nana, Charlene Marie Beal Wagner: (click here to learn more) She was a feisty, stubborn old lady who would always tell you what she was thinking and lived to just make it to 96 years old. When she met my husband while we were dating, the first thing she said was "he's so much better than the last one!" She refused to die in the hospital. She passed away peacefully once she was returned home by ambulance while laying in her own bed and being sung to by her twin granddaughters (Nad's mother and aunt) that she raised from infancy. Nana was not a materialistic, greedy, worldly person by any means. She was always giving everything away, especially money. She knew that she would not be able to bring anything from his life with her to heaven. So in her honor, complete the following puzzles for an easy $100k each. You can post screenshots of your completed puzzles here or message them to me directly. Because she loved her wild birds especially hummingbirds Since she lived in the middle of nowhere, she spent all her time knitting (especially socks) when she couldn't be outside working in her yard or picking berries, that is. She was very active right up until her 96th birthday. If you complete these puzzles, show your support to Chubby by pasting his campaign pin below on your page for the duration of the mascot contest. Message me for the code. Also, in honor of Nana's giving spirit, if Chubby gets first or second place in the mascot contest, then anyone who still has his campaign pin on their page after voting has ended will be entered to win a portion of the HPD mascot contest prize. I'll say $10mil for now; if it gets enough interest, the pot may increase (up to $50mil at least). If you complete all 3 of these puzzles, you will get an extra raffle ticket (but only if you have his campaign pin on your page). You can also purchase up to 10 additional tickets for $5mil each. Just send the money to account #20643 with "Chubby's raffle" in the subject line. And to promote giving on HP even further, you can purchase an unlimited number of tickets for any other players for $3mil each. At least 50% of this HPD will also go into the winner's pot (thus increasing the winner's pot closer to the possible $50mil). Make sure to message me how many tickets you want and if any are for other players. I'll keep track of who has tickets and how many here. Lady Rancher (#6031) - 2 tickets (copied Chubby's pin, 0:34 (Puzzle 1), 0:31 (Puzzle 2), 17:29 (Puzzle 3) *I may decide to run this raffle regardless of the contest results. We'll see. Again, it depends how much interest it generates. *The fastest time on the jigsaw puzzles will receive an extra raffle ticket for each puzzle. *There may be other opportunities to earn raffle tickets before the contest ends in April. |
