Its that time of the game for me where I have all my breedings and sales happenings.

What are reasonable prices based on generations or whatever?

Ive got staggering generations, from 12 to 2.

For my public trained back ups I generally sell them for 5 mill each and open to the public.  If they don't get bought I delete them.  I haven't got very many generations on my publiclly trained lines.  Once it starts getting 5th generation I plan on start charging at least double.

As for my privately trained horses.  I generally sell them for 25-75 mill depending on points & lines. ☺

Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

I think it depends on the breed! I have given my CBRs away for free, and then I've gotten 100m for my ISHs, even though both lines are around the same number of generations.

I determine starting bids for my animals by looking at the quality of the lineage & the length. To me, a horse with 3m pointed ancestors in five generations would be worth more (to me personally) than one with a longer lineage of 1.5m pointed horses. But that's probably really different depending on the individual. But I agree with Tron in that $25m is a good starting place for lined horses, especially if you've used privates on them at all.

I know my 6th gen shelties have been private trained all generations, but my other generations gain 100K every wee. So 1,300,000 at 13. If that makes a difference.

I have no clue if my sheltie lines are "top" in the game
