Be sure to read Chapter I and Chapter II!
The fleet is scattered.
Countless ships glide, lifeless, through the abyss. Solar sails hang limp, and frost crawls its way up hulls. The Sleipnir looms in the distance, dark and silent.
Something went wrong.
The hard work of Viking crews revealed the ancient carvings to be a map. The view of the galaxy is well known to the voyagers, but this one.. This map is different. Itâs larger, spans more of the sea of stars than any current collection of data. Coordinates, jump points, and entire systems unknown to the fleet were suddenly revealed. Loremasters studied the names and consulted amongst each other to find the oldest location on the map. The coordinates were gathered for a small, dark cluster of systems near the roots of Yggdrasil. But when they were entered into the fleetâs navigation, the ships⊠died.
A pulse of energy from every shipâs engines flared through the lines, and like a wave of interstellar flame, the sails went dark. The longships went gliding, powered only by their momentum and guided only by the pull of nearby planets.
The fleet is scattered. And they must find their way to safety.
Welcome back to Chapter III of the Epic Quest - Valhalla!
Hereâs how the Epic Quest works: I will host an activity each month that plays into the story being told. Youâll earn small prizes for each activity you complete - like points, HPD, or cash shop items. Youâll also earn XP points, and the player with the most XP points at the end of the year - December 2021 - will win the grand prize: 1. A fully coded tabbed layout from me featuring a graphic themed after this yearâs quest and 2. Matching animal CSS and 3. A 1-year upgrade!
Participate in the Epic Quest activity every month of the year, and youâll earn a special prize: 1. An official HP achievement and 2. A store pair with 100k points.
If you haven't joined yet but would like to, check out Chapter I to figure out how to create your Viking! You need to message me with a clan, a specialty, and a name - then you can join one of the crews below!
If you have any questions about the quest, prizes, or how it works, donât hesitate to message me!

Your ship has been rendered powerless, and you are drifting through space! You, and the other ships in your fleet, are all being drawn towards different nearby planets - and thereâs no way to predict what conditions youâll be facing.
PLANETARY CONDITIONSCALIBRATION ERROR: Planetary Scans may be inaccurate. Preliminary conditions unavailable. EMERGENCY LANDINGYou and your crew must come together and hypothesize on the conditions of a nearby planet! Together, youâll need to come up with these criteria for the planet:
1. Climate/Biome: Examples of climates or biomes are icy, volcanic, desert, jungle, temperate, aquatic - but you can use other climates or biomes if you have any in mind. Planets can have up 2 climates/biomes. 2. Type of Native Life: Planets can have plant life, animal life, and humanoid life. They can also have sentient (species that communicate and have a sense of identity) or non-sentient life. Planets can have all or none, or any combination of these. 3. Amount of Native Life: Decide if your planet has copious amounts of life, or minimal, or none. 4. Name of the Planet: You must give your planet a name! You can give it any name you choose!
If you have any other details youâd like to include in the description of your planet, go for it! At the end of the week, voting will open for the most interesting planet. The more descriptive and creative you get, the higher chance youâll have of winning the vote - and earning an extra XP point!
Now hereâs the catch - you may not be creating the planet your ship lands on! You can create a planet that plays to the strengths of your crew, but you might land somewhere else and the planet you created may suit another crew just as well.
Once youâve created your planet, each member of your crew must message me with a description of the planet that includes the four characteristics above (as well as any additional details you might have)!
PRIZES: Creating a planet: 5 XP points and 15k points on an animal Most Interesting Planet: 1 XP point
You have until 11:59 pm HP time on Wednesday, March 31 to send me your planets! Get creative, Vikings!
