Help Me Pick Two Breeds

The decision is currently stuck between Holsteiners vs Dutch Warmbloods vs Caucasian Ovcharkas. I have finished all the projects I had intended to do with my COs, but I've finally reached gen 20. I do have two more generations for the Holsteiners before I was planning on not being so focused on them, so I could still do that and then end them but I've always worked quite hard on the lines. I have just started my Dutch Warmbloods, I'm even doing my Mascot entry as one, there is more of a competitive breeding market with them than the Holsteiners and definitely more so than the COs and they're another in dedication to my horse since I have learned he's a Holsteiner x Dutch Warmblood, considered Dutch Warmblood because that's what his mom is but since he's registered with Zangersheide he's also considered a Z breed. Anywho, please help me decide which two breeds to keep out of these three? (Also if anyone is interested I will be selling my Akita pups from my current pairs when they reach 15.) |

If your finished with you OC then maybe you can stop training them for now, and if in the future you can do a retirement breeding when things stabalise for you. The Dutch Warmblood market is currently strong, with some fantastic horses out there, so if your into trading lines etc, then that is a consideration. Also, I enjoy "competing" against your dwbs (not in like a competitive way though!) so I am kinda biased!Β Β  Rosa is awesome, Rosa is fine, Rosa didn't write this... |

I was going to say since there's more DWB breeders, there's more competition for the best DWB. Therefore, making the money you put into them even more impressive when they're the highest pointed of breed or on the top 25 horses list, etc. And if your mascot entry is a DWB, then you probably want to breed your mascot.Β On the other hand, you DWB are the newest of the 3, so if you want to keep the 2 you put more money and time into. But you said you're pretty much done with the OC so you could do a retirement breeding like City said to revive them later on.Β It all comes down to like you said, do you want a horse breed and a dog breed? Or do you not care if you don't breed any dogs and just breed 2 horse breeds? Personally, I would do the 2 horse breeds since they're both connected to your RL horse. But do you have a personal connection to the OCs?  |

I vote Holsteiners & Dutch Warmbloods I feel like there's not enough Holsteiner love around here xD |

I say Dutchies and Holsteiners. You can always come back to the COs down the road with a retirement breeding. It sounds like you've accomplished everything you've wanted to with them.  Link Tree |
