April's Player of the Month!

Spring has sprung and the Easter Bunny has come and gone!
Quite a few things happening this month, so be sure to check the HP Calendar and Forums for anything that might catch your eye!

......HP Questions......
1. How did you first learn about us?
I went back to Horseland and couldn’t believe how dead it was but thankfully there was mention of HP so I came along and was hooked from my first day.

2. What is your favorite thing about HP?
The friendly community

3. How long have you been playing for?
3 years

4. How did you come up with your player name?
It’s the first two letters of my pets in age order – Tilly, Fidley, Sam and Tia

5. What is your favorite breed of horse or dog to train?
It has to be my New Forest ponies although my German Shepherds come close

6. What caused you to pick the breed(s) you train and breed?
I love my main ones in real life and therefore feel a connection with them. The others I have not connected as well with and I've gradually dwindled them down to retire.

7. How do you come up with names for your animals?
It gets harder every time but they come from book titles, characters, tv series, themes of anything I can think of and I’ve used random names I like the sound of

8. What are your current goals on HP?
To keep training. Life has been tough recently so just to keep my main lines going is enough for me

9. Do you have a favorite animal? (It can be your own or another player’s you admire!)
It has to be my mascot Fidleywood Emocion as she is based off my little mare Fidley

10. Who’s your go-to graphic artist or coder?
Mango

11. What is your favorite Site-Wide yearly event?
24 Days of Christmas

12. What other contests or activities do you usually participate in?
I haven’t recently but usually I participate in everything the staff hold

14. Which seasonal layout art is your favorite?
I’m not a fan of the cold but I love the Winter layout

.....Real Life & Random Questions.......
1. Where are you from?
Scotland

2. What do you do for work?
I'm currently waiting for a date to start work in a call centre

3. Do you own any horses or dogs?
2 amazing ponies and 2 loveable dogs (Ponies are Tilly and Fidley and dogs are Sam and Tia) Tilly hasn't been too well so once I know how serious it is I may end up with another horse

4. Do you have any other types of pets at home?
Neon Tetra Fish, Bumblebee Catfish and Ash the hamster

5. What are your favorite breeds of horse and dog?
Horses I love New Forest ponies, Highland ponies and Arabians. German Shepherd dogs have always been my favourite.

6. Do you have any hobbies? If so, what are they?
Riding out on hacks through the woods or galloping along the beach. I also enjoy taking Tilly the horse and Tia the dog for walks out together – we go up to 5 miles. In the house I love to sit under a blanket and read a book (I love reading romance books)

7. What’s your favorite color?
Purple

8. What’s your favorite Holiday or Month?
April is my favourite month as it starts to warm up but the flies aren’t out in force yet

9. Do you have a favorite vacation spot? If so, what or where is it?
We usually go to Yorkshire each year as there is something different to do every time from historical museums to fun fairs.

11. If you could own any breed of horse, what would it be and why?
Arabian x Highland as Arabians are so energetic, floaty and majestic but Highlands are so cheeky, stubborn and have the biggest characters.

12. If you could own any breed of dog, what would it be and why?
German Shepherd as they are so loyal, kind and trainable.

14. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why? I’d love to go to America and do a ranching holiday.

15. What would be your dream job?
Likely something horse related however in all the jobs I’ve had the one thing that could turn the mundane into fun was my colleagues.

16. What would be your dream meal of choice?
Ooooooh now we’re talking. I love food. Bruschetta for starter (I had an amazing one at the local pub but they stopped doing it), lasagne for main and chocolate fudge cake with cream for dessert.

17. What is the top thing on your Bucket List?
At the moment to own an Arabian as my next horse

19. What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Mint chocolate chip

20. What is something you fear?
Spiders

23. Any good books or comics that you’ve read recently?
House of Night series

24. Any good movies or shows you’ve seen lately?
Halfway through the Vampire Diaries – gotta love Steffan.

25. What is your go-to show to stream? (Via Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.)
Watching Family Guy at the moment
