Hope this is okay. So long story short (if you want to talk about it further feel free to message me, I just don't want to hurt/bore/annoy anyone who doesn't want a longer version... I'm due with my first child in December. While I do believe this is the biggest blessing in my life, I am facing pregnancy and parenthood alone and my emotions have been EVERYWHERE. Trying to get excited about names but nothing really CLICKS yet, but I think some of that may still be some shock, some is me just being picky for sure, and some is not being 100% on the gender. I did a SneekPeak test at 8 and a half weeks that said it was 99% accurate, and the results said girl so I'm leaning towards girl names but also trying to look at some boy names too. I am the third generation of first borns with the same initals, (Grandfather, father, and me) - and since now this baby will have my last name, I would really like to continue that tradition. For reference, my name is Michelle. My father's name is Michael (I don't want to do repeat names) - for a girl I like the middle name Jo. For a boy I like James but I am open to others. My favorite I've come up with so far is MaKenna Jo for a girl (Kenna for short, don't like MacKenna or McKenna because in my head I want it to sound MUH-KENNA) and I cannot find ANYTHING I like for a boy that someone in my life hasn't used already. I like traditional and non traditional names and a variety of those like standard names with nonstandard spellings. Anyone have any ideas?

for a boy Matteo, Maddox (I'll try and add more too) congratulations and I can only imagine all the emotions and feelings as I do not have any children but I really love your thoughts behind the name and know you will find the perfect one! |

Merryn a girl's name meaning "joyful, lighthearted" that is related to the Old English name Merry. There's also many variations of the spelling, Marren, Maren, Marin, etc. Mila It is a diminutive of Slavic names beginning or ending with Milla which derived from the element Mil (Мил) meaning "gracious" or "dear". ... Milla in Hebrew (מילה) means "word". It is also used among the Spanish as a short-hand for Milagros, meaning "miracles".
And this one, sorry if it's too forward of me, it is a religious meaning of the name.... Miles In Hebrew Baby Names the meaning of the name Miles is: Who is like God? Gift from God.

So I loved all of the suggestions and I would still realllly love a MJG name... the father has decided to be involved so depending on how things go baby girl might end up with his last name, which is not a G or maybe both our last names, I'm not sure yet. BUT! The name that has stayed in my head the longest, which isn't even an m is..... AURORA! Rory or Rora for short. Still not 100% but it's leaning that way :) |

Love it! My coworker's one twin baby girl is Aurora and they automatically planned on just calling her Rory because her twin sister is Remy. |

Update... Now stuck between Aurora and Ariana. Names are too hard. I feel like I'm not going to know until she's born and I think my family thinks I'm crazy lol. Most of my friends who have had kids have a name picked out way before the third trimester. :| |

I had my kids names picked out ahead of time, I found ones that just felt "right" but I totally feel that. Sometimes you just need to wait, and meet them. See them, hold them. You'll find the one that feels perfect!
Don't stress it. |
