No one on here really knows this (just told Indigo today) but the past two weeks have been horrible for me. I couldn't find any energy. I went from sleeping too little (insomnia) to not being able to stand awake. Work was a hard task, my muscles became so sore I could barely lift anything over five pounds. Picking up my older two cats (10lb each) was impossible and the younger two (3lbs) was a struggle. It was sad, really. I couldn't focus on reading, didn't have the energy to do much of anything else. I started getting bruises all over my legs and arms, and knowing I had done nothing to get them, I freaked out a little.Β

I finally got my paycheck and found out the source of my issues was lack of nutrients and dehydration. I have this bad habit of not eating if I am not hungry, mainly because if I force myself to eat, I normally get sick to my stomach and it just isn't worth the pain... err... wasn't worth the pain. So I would go a day or two here and there without eating and only eating once a day on the days that I did eat. Not big meals either. I work at Subway (eat fresh! lol) and I could only stomach half of a six inch if I could manage to eat anything at all. They put an IV in me for something, I think the dehyrdation... -shuters at memory- I hate needles!Β

Needless to say, my doctor chewed my butt off and pretty much said that if I didn't start eating at least three times a day he was going to put me in a hospital for a little bit. Not fun... not in my plans. So today I actually at breakfast for the first time in ten years... and then I ate lunch (a whole six inch chicken bacon ranch!) and tonight I am cooking BBQ Ribs. My stomach is hurting (the doctor said it probably would. Apparently it shrinks when you don't eat), but I am going to make myself eat right from here on out. I refuse to be put in the hospital for something like this and also Β because I find it scary that your body can actually start to absorb itself (muscles, ect...) if you don't. The Doc also said I should start loosing weight if I eat more than one meal a day. I am scared that I may slack back down to my one meal a day self... I am not really sure how I can remind myself to eat? Cause obviously my body is doing a sucky job at this task... Any suggestions?Β

I'm sorry that you're having issues!

I have ADD, and so for a long time I was on ADD medication (stopped now since I'm out of school for awhile) and it takes your appetite away. So I didn't remember to eat a lot fo the time since I wasn't hungry, and then I woud get so hungry (my body would, not me feeling it) that I would get sick and not be able to eat. It was bad.

So what I did was set alarms/reminders on my phone to go off every 3 hours so I would know it was time to eat something. I had them 3x a day for regular meals and then 2x a day for snacks. So maybe you could try that?

Also! A quick, easy little thing is to drink some chicken/bone broth (preferably homemade, if you message me I can tell you how), it's good for you and gives your body some quick nutrition.
