This event was supposed to be something totally different, but I had to rehaul it and reformulate the event at the last second. Hopefully you all will still have fun with it. 

This is a different kind of scavenger hunt on HP - I am not quite sure I’ve seen one like it before.

      There is too much ugly and hate in the world. I am so sick of seeing it everywhere I look. For 500 points on any one animal, go find me a quote about love and acceptance.

      I am so sick of seeing people tear each other down. It’s ugly and the only person it makes look bad is the person doing the tearing. Instead of trying to make someone feel bad - take this moment to look around on HP and pick someone to MAKE feel better. For 1,500 points on any one animal, compliment and lift someone up on HP.

      Did you know that you are amazing? Look into yourself and find something that you know you love and share it with us for another 1,500 points.

Why did I rehaul this into this type of scavenger hunt? May is Mental Health Month and had I been thinking when I created this month’s events all of them would have been focused on that. It slipped my mind and I have been kicking myself for it ALL month. Mental health is so often swept under the rug and it is so important. You never know what another person is going through, just like another person never knows what you are going through. 

I hope that you all have fun with this and enjoy it.

I have to help my husband through it a lot. Its not easy but with the right support system, its possible. In doing so, any time I get frustrated with people, i remember to love people as He loves people. There's nothing God loves more than people. And His greatest commandment to His people is to love.

2. For this one I want to pick Nadhima! I really admire her love for Christ, I find it very inspiring and warm! I always love encountering Christians. To be honest I don't encounter many day-to-day, as I am in a very academic setting and it often seems like there is a bit of hostility towards being religious, at least in the specific environment that I am in. Which is discouraging and makes it scary to be emboldened about my spirituality. So I really really love that Nad is open about her love for Christ. I admire that about her a lot! It encourages me to be more open about my own spirituality as well.

3. This one was hard haha! This past month has been extremely rough mental-health wise for me if I'm being quite frank. I suppose that I will pick my perserverance. I am determined not to give up even when it gets really really hard. And things are pretty hard right now. But after a spell of discouragement and depression I do always pick myself back up and resume my path. And that's what I'm doing right now. And honestly I'm proud of myself for it. It'd be really easy to just give up and let recent traumas and bad mental health take over and ruin my goals. But I'm not going to let it. And I like that about myself.
