Upcoming Birthday
Dakiti :: Coding July 28th, 2021 11:11:14pm 17 Posts |
I've got an upcoming birthday on August 10th. My husband and I plan on taking a trip to Orlando; to visit Disney World and Universal Studios. I'm turning the big "30". *cries* It's been ages since I have been but we plan on going down for 5 day and visiting one theme park per day for three days. On the 10th we're thinking Magic Kingdom (since everyone says it's the best). 11th- Epcot 12- Universal Studios- because I really want to do the Jurassic World ride. haha
Anyways, I can't wait but at the same time... it's going to be sooooo much money. I never spend really any money on myself anymore and I'm the person that feels bad when I do. I'm usually putting my money towards others like my husband/son and family when they need it.
I'll have to post pictures when we finally go... but has anyone else visited? What are some things I really need to check out? Any advice will surely be appreciated! |

You guys are awesomely positive and I love it. I just feel 10x older (because of the military). They say each year you serve you add an additional 4 years onto your body so I'd technically be 46? 0.O hahaha I'll definitely be posting pictures and things for you guys! For those who haven't went- you really should! I remember going for our "graduating class" and it was completely amazing!
This is also going to be the first time I'll be leaving my son for that amount of time. I've never left him behind no longer than a few hours with my mom or grandma, and now it's about to be without my mini me for 5 days! I feel as if no one can take care of him and give him lovings as good as I can! Guess that's just the momma talk. :) I'll video call him everyday! |

My recommendation is to be strategic with your fast passes at Disney! And don't miss out on getting your photo with Pluto. The last time I went to Disney (with my dad and sister) like 5 years ago, we went to Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. Each park I'd see Pluto and want my photo but we were on the way to something so Dad said "later". It never happened and I still won't let him live it down. My sister HAD to use one of our fastpasses to have her photo with Peter Pan, but nooooo, I couldn't see Pluto. Universal: go to Harry Potter world. Pay extra to get the fancy wand that lets you go around and do spells that work! You can get varieties of butterbeer, but they're SUPER sweet. You can also go to gringotts and get your USD converted into HP money that you can then use in the gift shop. Or keep it if you want to :P. If you go to Hogsmeade, you can mail a postcard to yourself that they actually stamp as being mailed from Hogsmeade. If you're going to both sides of Universal, if you get the park hopper pass you can take the Hogwarts Express between the two Harry Potter areas as well which is cool.

animal kingdon is a lot of fun too! if you have time, i highky suggest valcano bay by universal! it's their water park and it's a blast! there's a shopping center somewhere between internation drive and universal bulivard that a lot of fun to walk around. they have a ferris wheel there too - the eye of orlando andretti indoor go karts is also hella fun, i've been there a couple times too lol no..i don't go to orlando a lot.. 😬 |

Disney only does hopper to hopper I think. Don't remember seeing fast passes. Orlando has some though. I was looking into veteran discount tickets for both (disabled vet). I didn't find much for Disney but universal has a thing that is called a freedom pass and you pay $200/person for the year. I'm looking into that!
Magic Kingdom is going to be super fun, so is Epcot. My husband did research and he was telling me about the strong the working thing. CANT wait to just try everything new! Though I am still stressing about leaving baby. :( i HATE that they have implemented the mandatory masks again. I won't go into my political views but I'll just say it's stupid to have a mask on- OUTSIDE or during a ride. -____- I'm willing to bet the heat and mask are going to be the death of me. Ugh. @blitz- that wand thing sounds freaking cool! I really want to check that out now! When my mom took me to Disney as a baby, I got my photo with Pluto and Mickey and Minnie. She said I LOVED to squeeze Pluto's nose. 😅 May have to carry on the traditions... |
