When I initially checked uut HP, I looked around via the guest account. I then signed up, I received a confirmation email for my account (this one), and tried to sign into this account. I kept getting the guest account even when I signed into this account and I just assumed that it was a mild bug that would correct itself. Next day, I was able to sign into this account (yay!), so I assumed that the bug user was gone. But it isn't! It's account #36008. It still has the random horses I created under the guest account and the horses the guest account came with anyway. I have no way of signing into it, but it's the other "abacus" (the one that isn't labeled as one of my accounts).

Make sure that you are completely logged out before logging into a new account. Sounds dumb, but if you forget, you'll have logged into a new one but hp still has you listed as being logged into the first one.

You may have the login saved on your browser is why, try deleting your saved logins from HP and then try again? You should be able to do this in your browser preferances. I know this since I can't sign INTO the guest account on this browser. But you must be signed into your account now since you're posting here?
