These are the guidelines for getting a breed added on HP.

1. You need to get FIVE (5) people to agree to breed. If one of the 5 people agreed to breed the particular breed more than a month ago, please message them privately to confirm their participation before contacting the staff. We are no longer deleting breeds after they are added, even if some of your original 5 drop the breed. Breeds will ONLY risk deletion if there is NO ONE breeding it actively.

2. It must be a legitimate breed.

a) For horses, this means it must be a living breed. A link to a breeder's association will work as proof.

b) For dogs, this means it must be accepted into one of the following legitimate kennel clubs:

i. American Kennel Club (AKC)

ii. Canadian Kennel Club (CKC)

iii. The Kennel Club

iv. Australian National Kennel Club

v. Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI)

- Note: this does not include wild or mythical animals. At this time, we are not adding wild or mythical breeds and if we ever are, the breed legitimacy rules obviously do not apply.

Please post a link to the breed page on one or more of the listed kennel club websites.

Once you have gathered enough volunteers and have proof for the breed, you need to contact Koni #33 to get it added! Please send the link to your forum post with your request so she can confirm all the details :)

If you have any questions, either post here or contact Koni

Do the breeds still stay around permanently if some people lose interest?

What about wild breeds? Like the arctic wolf wont be acceptable for registration in any kennel club, but it's still a real legitimate and living animal.

^ my assumption is that wild breeds are not currently being accepted.

and yes, Duckie. Since nothing else has been posted saying no, breeds should stick around.
