We are officially introducing HP Idol by popular request :).

This will be a singing contest between HP people, which will be judged by a vote of the HP players. We will have two rounds. The first round with all entries, and the final round with the top two to determine first and second place prizes!

This is just a fun, little non-HP related contest for everyone to participate in. Since this is not necessarily HP related, all of the rest of the posts for it will be in the forum! Here is the first topic on it. Any questions and entries can be posted here!

Rules:
1. You may submit an audio recording or a video (any method is fine, as long as we can hear you!) of you singing.
2. You can sing any song that you like, but it must be either a cappella or the karaoke version of the song (no words from the artist of the original song!)
3. You must submit the name and artist of the version which you are signing.
4. This is not an editing contest, so your recording should not be altered at all or toned.
5. All songs submitted need to be HP appropriate. Any bad words should be "bleeped" out or omitted! If you have questions about the appropriateness, ask a mod!

All entries should be in by August 15th for the first round and then we will put up the voting. Everyone can submit multiple songs for this round, but not multiple recordings of the same song.

Most of all, have fun! :).

Prize:
Everyone will get a participation achievement!

Second place will get 150 mill HPD and a 3 month upgrade!*

First place will get 300 mill and a 6 month upgrade!*

*You can trade in the upgrade time for the equivalent amount of Horse Bucks!

For second round, do we need to record a new song? I'd prefer that personally, to switch it up a bit. My recordings are a few months old, so I'd like to record something fresh if I go on :] especially considering my Stay cover was when I was pregnant and couldn't get my breath too well. Hope you consider doing this! I think it would show our talent better, as well.

Hey Sam, in case you didn't know; you can vote as many times as you want, as long as it's from a different IP address. This can result in cheating and I don't think it's very fair =/

I wasn't aware, but this is the only voting website where we could do it so you could just vote as many times as you want (without changing IP's), so unfortunately, I think it's the best we can do :(. Especially since people don't really change IP addresses that much, so I doubt it would result in much cheating.
