World Smile Day

World Smile Day was on October first. [I had this all typed out and ready to go but managed to think yesterday was Thursday and completely messed up my week.]

So this day is celebrated by smiling and spreading smiles. It was officially created in 1999. To earn an awesome 1500 points on any one animal, tell me about what makes you smile. :D

My kids!  My oldest kid is really starting to get those one-liners that kids do some times where he's completely serious, and trying to carry a conversation, but I have to keep a straight face. Like the other day I asked if he was cranky and he looks at me and says "no, I don't think so. I'm pretty sure I'm happy today." lmao

I work in a convenience store, and many of my customers are from overseas. Places like Poland, Hungary, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and one dude from Peru. If I can figure the accent or primary language of a person, I like to greet, thank and say "bye" in their language. It makes me smile to see their reaction of surprise when I do so.

I taught myself how to say hello/hi, thank you and goodbye in French, Spanish, German, Polish, Dutch, Afrikaans, Hungarian and Polish. I also learned "goodbye" in Somalian, and how to say goodbye to my Muslim customers.

My job makes me smile (: I'm a vet tech and while many of days are super tough, helping some of our patients feel better and the relief on their parents face is just priceless. Basically I love my job and I am moving up into management next month which is bittersweet but also makes me smile :D

My pets bring me smiles every single day. I can't imagine not having them in my life. The immeasurable unconditional love they have to share never fails to improve my mood even on my worst days. I'm so thankful for them.

I've also watched a lot of random acts of kindness videos on youtube recently and nothing makes me happier and smile more than seeing people do good for others, especially strangers. You never know what someone is going through. Always be kind.

Subrosa makes me smile. She is my rock and my constant companion. We talk everyday, and have started to see each other a lot more now, taking it in turns to drive the 1.5 hours we live apart. I can't wait to see her in two weeks!

PS: but thats not all, after chips its time for HP and the hollywood channel usually its Lady S thats put up pics that you just have to smile at, but now its Prynne with a daily Halloween joke that makes me smile many thanks to both the awesome ladies :)

I would say my work/dogs! I work as a dog trainer and I think seeing a dog and owner finally start to "click" puts a smile on my face. Some dogs are harder work than others and I really appreciate the owners who step up to the challenge!

I work in retail and I have to say my coworkers always make me smile, especially over the past year and a half, it feels like we've been through a war together. And honestly it's either laugh or cry, so we lean on each other and keep our spirits up.

Last day for entries.

The best way to make me smile is playing games with good friends / family.

My boyfriend, for sure.

These last few weeks especially have been really tough for me and the next week or so are going to be even harder, and he's been there every moment that I've needed him, cheered me up with his stupid jokes and fed me chocolate when he knew there was nothing he could say to help.

Can't say much smiling has been going on but when it has, he's been responsible for it!
