Hello Hp yes its that time of year for Aoi!! its health vacay time woot woot! and this time its back to tasmania mainly because i couldnt be sure id get quartine free travel to select countries before i left... that did happen this week but every thing is paid for so tasmania it is and this time its a campervan trek... the idea of traveling the beautiful wilds of tasmania in a van all alone is slightly terrifing but ill share my journey with you guys and the beautiful state that is tasmania! so subscribe and stay tuned!

DAY 1

so today i went exploring the natural side of hobart, i spent most of the morning walking around the royal botanical gardens

visted the cascade brew bar fr a tasting paddle (i had to drive)

and attempted mt wellington... i had hoped the weather would clear but it was very cloudy up there and as i got enough of that the last time i was up there i just waited for breaks in the veru thick cloud to go native flora hunting

so today was a beautiful example of things never go as you plan lol. so in my first stop of the day a blowhole (that i found out after the fact can't actually be seen anymore due to a new fence to stop jumpers) i somehow lost the spare tire under my car, after spending an hour trying to figure out how to put the blasted thing back in place i called roadside assit. the bracket was a little lose and the secure clip had dislodge on the pothole at the car park and the brace got slightly bent, fortunaly with the help of a wooden block and a jack the bracet got pulled back into place and tightened properly so it will not happen again.

i traveled south from The Lea reserve past blackmans bay to the very pretty Tinderbox, and sapled my first wild black berry and omg it was the sweetest most delious thing ever im goint to get a plastic container so when i spot safe bushes i can forage them.

and off i head to bruny island for 2 nights and i must say im actually a little bit sunburned lol last time i was here i always had long sleeves everywhere  went but its been surprisingly warm this go round so although i had sunscreen i forgot to put some on before my misadventure yesterday lol but i have plenty of sunscreen and aloe and will not forget again.

anywho bruny island is truly a beautiful place... so many beautiful bays, beaches, coastlines and rock formations so far i have only seen the southern half of the island cause it was nearly noon when i arrived at the caravan park. tommorow ill explore the neck and north end.

DAYS 5, 6, 7 and 8

I live lol so the weather had turned on me a bit that and a few misadventures curtosy of google maps i alas have not many images or great stories from the last few day. i did however try to attempt in hindsight very foolishly a trek out to pelverata falls... i may have said this in Aoi's Trans-Tasman Adventure last year but tasmania can be a big liar in walking trail guides and espite my knowledge i still though this would at least be a doable if epic trek (being an estimated 3 hrs return if fit, which i am not) and would stay a grade 3 given some information i had about the track from online but alais i got to the last k of the trek 2.5hrs in and i see a sudden change from grade 3 (moderate hard) to a grade 5 (experience and fit hikers only) in a narrow iron stone path. i decided at this point due to legs, back and less than a quarter of my water left (i did bring sufficiant amount) to abdaon the attempt and head back. and lesson is this never ever should i ever atempt a track with an estimated return time over an hour lol. but in better news given better weather tonight i may get to see the southern lights!!!! the forcast for spectacular lights are good in clear weather areas over the coming days, so if not here maybe further south at cockle creek.

As an American who only really knows of Tasmania from the cartoon character, it was really cool to see the pictures. Looks very mountainous and rocky.
