I'll get more going tomorrow but I wanted to get this out there as I was legit planning to do a retirement breeding and just realized the breed was removed in the last clean up D; But I'll show what's the most important to everyone...pictures of these adorable, loving dogs!!!

The Smallest Retriever

Displaying beautiful coats ranging from a golden red through dark coppery red, these powerful little dogs were developed in the early 19th century to toll, lure, and retrieve waterfowl. The playful action of the Toller retrieving a stick or ball along the shoreline arouses the curiosity of the ducks offshore. They are lured within gunshot range, and the dog is sent out to retrieve the dead or wounded birds.

The Toller is highly intelligent, alert, outgoing, and ready for action, though not to the point of nervousness or hyperactivity. He is affectionate and loving with family members and is good with children, showing patience. Some individuals may display reserved behavior in new situations, but this is not to be confused with shyness. Shyness in adult classes should be penalized. The Toller’s strong retrieving desire coupled with his love of water, endurance, and intense birdiness, is essential for his role as a tolling retriever.

As someone who just spent 13 HPB for a dog she can't even buy a mate for because I didn't realize they had been removed - I 100% support this!

As per the news " Make sure you have 3 breeders who agree to breed a previous breed in the forum," - we only need one more.

so maybe tab #2 needs to be fixed or updated since that's not a thing anymore and breeds that are inactive do get removed. 

^^ That FAQ is why I didn't even think to check the news/updates or the forums before retirement breeding.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't have just read the news regarding breeds that was literally posted this week then check the list accompanying said news post, Con, before choosing to do that retirement breed. We never remove actively bred breeds, and when trimming the list, we did not trim anything that had a dog under 25 years old (30 for horse). 

The FAQ does need to be updated. I went right from focusing on the breeds list with Koni to working on the Easter Egg hunt with BV, so I'm sorry it wasn't priority one. Plus...technically the FAQ is correct. Once we add a breed, we will never delete it. Even when we cleaned the breeds from the store, the existing animals under those breeds are still on the game. You should always go by what the most recent news post says regarding something, not other more permanent areas of the site, as it can take us a bit to update them.

Trig, Koni's been poked by me as well about the Tollers (and to make sure it has the same spelling as the old ones!).

Con, you're welcome to try to get support for the re-adding of Westies to the store.

Easy I don't log in every day. Have no interest in events. Never read the news. I train. I get off. If I had a reason to read every news post I would. It's normally stuff that isn't relevant to me as a player for the type of player I am. I only looked after the issue. We just lost a long time family member and that's why I resurrected my old lines, for one project pup. I'm good on just not doing it and donating the money I would have spent to a westie rescue.

@apothie - they've been added so I think that means you do need another breed! Since I want to do retirement breedings I'm going to start up lines this coming Sunday *wink* *wink*
