Just finished MAUS by Art Spiegelman. Super confronting, comic-style book about his father during the holocaust. I'm currently aiming to read all the Pulitzer Prize books, and this was one of my favourites! Currently reading Later by Stephen King. Not bad, not his best, but an easy and interesting read. He's written three of these novellas as part of a crime/horror collection composed of numerous bestselling authors. Pretty cool, bit gnarly. I've almost finished it, and will be moving onto one of Margaret Atwood's novels, Oryx and Crake. I love some speculative dystopian fiction! I am a walking library, feel free to hit me up for any recommendations! x |

If you're into romance with a little bit of depth within the plot, I would reccomend Colleen Hoover's books. "Verity" is a little bit darker of a plot, "It Ends With Us" was a book club favorte, "Reminders of Him" is my favorite of hers... Supposedly subsequent novels of hers build on characters of previous books; I kind of want to re-read and keep that in mind. Currently reading "Little Secrets" by Jennifer Hillier One of my favorite books I've read over the last few years is "All The Ugly and Wonderful Things" by Bryn Greenwood. The plot is very taboo and uncomfortable, but it was a good read. Also would always reccomend "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'Brien |

I finished Where the Crawdads Sing and okay... Don't come at me... It was good but I don't know I'd consider it a great read. At least not for me. However I did send my copy to my Mom cause I think she will enjoy it more than I did. My daughter picked my next read and she chose "You Deserve Each Other" by Sarah Hogle. |

Vida, so glad I'm not alone in that! I really thought it was gonna be more thriller than just regular fiction.. maybe I went in with the wrong expectations lol |

I'm currently Reading Violet Made of Thorns, by Gina Chen‘Beautifully vicious’ Chloe GongThere’s always a price for defying destiny. Violet is a prophet and a liar, influencing the court as Seer with her cleverly phrased – and not always true – divinations. Honesty is for suckers, like the oh-so-not-charming Prince Cyrus, who plans to strip her of her title once he’s crowned.
After the king asks her to falsely prophesy Cyrus’s love story for an upcoming ball, Violet awakens a dreaded curse about the prince’s future bride. Her wits may protect her in the cutthroat court, but they can’t protect her against fate – nor the doomed attraction growing between her and the prince . .

I just started revisiting an old friend, Interview With the Vampire by Anne Rice. The trailer for the upcoming AMC series looks amazing! I know it's causing a bit of an uproar online as they made some changes from the book, but I personally can't wait to see it. |

@SKELL: Maus is SO GOOD! I had to read it for a history course on the Holocaust in University. It's brilliant, the use of different animals to represent the different nationalities! @Vida: Colleen Hoover is such an awesome human being...hilarious to follow on social media. Her books will RUIN you though.
I'm currently reading Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson. It's a YA mystery with a bit of a historical aspect. I'm really enjoying it so far...so much so I went and bought the other 2 books in the trilogy today, as I heard it ends in a cliffhanger
YA-wise, I recommend These Witches Don't Burn by Isabel Sterling and it's sequel This Coven Won't Break. Also recommend Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron. I also read a lot of romance and recommend Kristen Ashley's Rock Chick series, anything by Kate Meader, Sarina Bowen, Elle Kennedy, or Avery Flynn! |

I loved Where the Crawdads sing! But I saw the movie, the movie was spot on and I thought the movie was boring haha So now I'm afraid to read the book again. I'm currently reading "Chicken sisters" since it was a "reece's book club" must read. |

okay ONE MORE NOTE. if anyone dives into Colleen Hoover's IT ENDS WITH US - in 79 days, the sequel comes out, picking up about 1 hour after the epilogue ends... AND I CAN'T WAIT. @blitz- I follow her on socials too and agree- LOVE her! :D her books are worth every single ounce of ruin, every single time. |
