I have a 19 year old Arabian named Tymeless and he literally can do it all. I am so proud of him after this weekend so I just had to brag. To fully understand the awesomeness that happened here is some background.

Tymeless (Timmy) was shown western pleasure in a high level in the Scottsdale Arabian shows in western pleasure until he was about 15. He also won some futurities at halter when he was younger. He was shown in lower-level western and English pleasure until he was sold again at 18. He was then used for lessons for several months and I got him in January right before he turned 19. Just remember the key here is he was a high-level western pleasure horse!

I've done a little bit of everything with him, specifically competitive trail riding. I have a rodeo background and have barrel-raced for years. At a fun show a few months back I threw him in poles and barrels just for the fun of it and he killed it and you could tell he loved it. We kind of left it at that and I've run him around the pattern once or twice since.

Well this weekend we went to a show that was all speed events. I ran him in poles, texas barrels, arena race, flag exchange, barrels, and big M. We really didn't practice any of this and just went for it. My niece who is 9 also rides him quite a bit and she ran him in the same events for the 10U group. He ran 13 total events on Saturday. Please note he is in great shape due to his endurance training and we are always keeping an eye on his condition. He was in better shape by the end of the day than the rest of us lol. I was kinda worried about us both riding him because he is a big and fast horse and my niece, while a good rider, is a tiny human. Well my smart boy knew the difference between me riding him and my niece and he was such a good boy for her. He gave her the speed she asked for but kept it controlled and I was so proud of them both. He also gave his all for me and KILLED IT in all his events. We finished first or second in everything and my niece got second in all of her events.

At the end of the day, my niece won high point reserve champion with him and I won high point champion!!! This was just her 5th show! I am literally over the moon. Not at the results but at the versatility of this amazing horse. He kept his mind and was a saint for both me and her. He won the hearts of everyone there and I am just so so proud of him.

He's handsome.

What an amazing result for you and your niece. A very talented horse.

Arabians are such an under rated breed - I'm aiming for one as my next addition.

Thanks, everyone! I've been a quarter-horse girl my entire life but he has gotten me obsessed with arabs!

here we were after we got our high point awards. I look like death warmed over because it was like 11:30 and we had been there all day but this might be my favorite picture in the world now!
