So, I just read Spiced by Dalia Jurgensen which was awesome, and am now reading Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. I think you might like both since you like food? But other than those, I ALWAYS recommend the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich, and I always recommend the Kinsey Millhone books by Sue Grafton for mystery/thriller lovers. Grafton's books are very good and very heart-racing, and Evanovich's books are thrilling but also funny and kind of raunchy. Umm, Something Missing is a cute book. You can always go through my goodreads account :). https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/21367989-samantha |

All time maybe How to Kill a Mockingbird. Recently Looking for Alaska by John Greene. It is amazing, and funny, and heartbreaking. I read it in a day, couldn't put it down. |

I love the Crank series by Ellen Hopkins her writing style is so crazy and the stories are incredible. And A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. Idk why I like so many true life stories about druggies who need/get help but I do xD |

I started reading Night Circus a few months ago (never finished cause work bleh) but it was so good! So I second that nomination. If you like scifi, Chris Wooding is one of favorites. Storm Theif, Haunting of Aleizabel Cray, etc. They are more teen novels, but really, when do we ever stop reading books for "kids"? Also Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier is a classic, but very, very good, one of my all time favorites. Sort of like a mystery/romancing type thing? Finally, The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. Literally, a book about loving books. It's a beautiful, beautiful novel by a brilliant new author. Haha ok I'm going to stop myself now before I fill up this whole forum with book reccomendations... |
