SO I saw the movie last week and I LOVED it so I decided to read the rest of the books (starting on 2, The Scorch Trials) and I am SO addicted! I love the characters, I love the actors. It really is sucking me in!

Has anyone else read the books?

I have a SERIOUS crush on Thomas Brodie-Sangster (aka newt) for some strange reason! I have no idea why!

Why? lol

I read all of them over the summer. I'd read The Maze Runner like 2 years ago or whenever it came out and completely forgot about the series since the other books weren't out yet until the movie reminded me. The Maze Runner is totally different from what happens in the other books, the way they evolve is so awesome. I will say that I was a little dissappointed in the ending but I just prefer more solid ending. The story along the way is just too good not to read haha.

The movie was good, I was pretty happy to finally have a solid image of a greiver. Ugly little beast, right? haha. Some of the changes were kind of annoying but for a book to movie it was pretty loyal. I didn't realize how many girls in the 12-15 age range were going to be at the movie though so it was kind of awkward. I felt like they were there just to see Dylan O'Brien (Thomas) and had never read the books.

I agree, even though I had not read the 1st book going into the movie, my friend did and she said a lot changed from the book to the movie. I did very much enjoy it! And now since I am reading the second book and OBSESSED, I can see what you mean by the change in story. The second book is way more intense which makes me a little nervous for the next one. I just hope Newt does not die, or Minho. :(

Can you share with me what changed from the first book to the first movie? I would love to know! I do know the way...

***SPOILER ALERT***

Chuck died was different then the book...any thoughts to why they would change that?

The gladers weren't throwing parties and drinking for one. Everyone had a job and the book was able to show you in more detail their jobs and the overall hierarchy of the group.

All four sides of the glade have doors that open. There was no weather, so no rain like in the movie. The weather was always perfect and the slept outside, only a few in structures. The sky actually goes a blank gray both day and night when things start hitting the fan.

The greiver hole is actually invisible and off the edge of a cliff. The had to jump into nothingness to get into it.

I'll have to think of more when I get home.
