1. How did you first learn about us?
Like many others, I am a HL transplant.

2. What is your favorite thing about HP?
My favorite part of HP is the community. Some people I’ve known for years and they are really good friends.

3. How long have you been playing for?
My old main account says joined on 9/27/2013! Almost ten years!

4. How did you come up with your player name?
Nytmare has been my handle since my early days on HL. I also created and maintained a horse RPG for many years under that name. It’s even tattooed on my right ankle. It’s super special to me! A lot of people mistake it for a different way to spell nightmare, but actuallyyyy…it’s supposed to be “Mare of the Night.” When I was 13 I wanted to be a spooky horse.

5. What is your favorite breed of horse or dog to train?
Here on HP, I have ten breeds and a few partnership accounts! My Holsteiners are doing really well, as are my Dutch Warmbloods. Those two breeds are special as they were my late best friend’s two favorite horses.

6. What caused you to pick the breed(s) you train and breed?
Arabians are my favorite breed. I have always liked them, and in 2005 I found a beautiful bay gelding for sale. His name was Major Payne. He was Egyptian and Polish Arabian. He absolutely stunned me and we were swift friends and honestly, he was my heart horse. We had so many adventures together. He passed away in 2012 due to colic and it broke my heart. His memorial horse here on HP won the Mascot Contest in 2016.

7. How do you come up with names for your animals?
Sometimes the creativity flows and I find a theme. Other times I use a name generator :)

8. What are your current goals on HP?
Right now I’d like to see Never Good at Goodbyes hit as high points-wise as possible. I really couldn’t throw the money at him that I would have liked. He is a memorial for my late best friend.

9. Do you have a favorite animal? (It can be your own or another player’s you admire!)
I absolutely adore my current stallion, Never. He is generation 10 of my first lines on HP. (I should have more, I know). I also really love Neke’s stallion Stubb. His picture is so beautifully animated and he is a memorial like Major Payne was.

10. Who’s your go-to graphic artist or coder? Are there any services you offer?
Ardy (Ris) made me an absolutely stunning work of art for Elizabeth’s memorial stallion. And of course Mango and Trig are always great for coding.

11. What is your favorite Site-Wide yearly event?

12. What other contests or activities do you usually participate in?

13. Do you have any training or breeding tips to share?

15. If you could change one thing about HP, what would it be and why?
N/A

16. What do you spend most of your time on HP doing?
Training my dozens of horses and dogs. I have a hard time not hoarding!

1. Where are you from?
St. Louis, Missouri

2. Does your place of residence have any sort of quirky history fact or legend/tradition, and if so, what is it?
I can think of a dozen urban legends! There’s many haunted attractions in St. Louis. If you like that sort of thing, look up the Lemp Mansion. I’ve been in the basement of it and I recommend it 0/10. Scary.

3. What do you do for work?

4. Do you own any horses or dogs?
I have 2 horses of my own, Greyfell an OTTB and Parker an Appendix Quarter Horse.
I do take care of a third horse, a Missouri Fox Trotter named Sophie. They basically abandoned her with me.
I have 3 dogs. My Cricket, she’s Chihuahua. My German Shepherd Ragnar, and my husband’s dog Sydney who is an Old English Bulldog.

5. Do you have any other types of pets at home?

6. What are your favorite breeds of horse and dog?
Favorite breeds of horses are Arabians, Friesians, and Thoroughbreds
Favorite dog breed is German Shepherd!

7. Do you have any hobbies? If so, what are they?
I do! I actually sew a lot and I make my own clothes. I want to start a small side business selling stuff, but so far I’ve only sold a few things.

8. What’s your favorite color?
Black 🖤

9. What’s your favorite Holiday or Month?
Oh that’s an easy one! October is my favorite month and I am obsessed with Halloween.

10. Do you have a favorite vacation spot? If so, what or where is it?
Germany! We’ve been twice now. It’s so very beautiful.

11. Do you have any special talents? If so, what are they?
I guess sewing? I used to be decent at manips, but I’m very rusty now.

12. If you could own any breed of horse, what would it be and why?
A Friesian. Always been a dream of mine.

13. If you could own any breed of dog, what would it be and why?
I’d always loved German Shepherds for as long as I can remember and the stars aligned last September and I finally got one. He is perfect.

14. If you could meet any celebrity, who would it be and why?
Johnny Depp! Might be a basic answer but I love him so much.

15. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
Norway or Iceland, I really want to see the Northern Lights.

16. What would be your dream job?

17. What would be your dream meal of choice?

18. What is the top thing on your Bucket List?

19. What talent do you wish you had?
I wish I was good at manips, or coding. I feel like both skills would be super great for HP.

Death. I don’t fear my own as much as I do losing someone I love again.
