I'm so glad hubby and I moved to NC from South Florida this hurricane season. It's the only time of year I do NOT miss SoFl! ? Prayers/good vibes to everyone in its path ???

Just moved back to SC from Ft. Lauderdale area. I have friends/family down in Fort Myers and Orlando area though...scary times! This storm is huge. It'll be a tropical storm by the time it gets to my area so I'm not that worried. Just hope everyone's okay!

@lake I'm also in SC! In the Charleston area, so we might get smacked a lil, but I'm not worried. 

Looks like the storm is pretty much through most of Florida and moving towards SC now, but as an SC native - Unless you're in the Bluffton/Charleston area.. you should be fine! I know down in Bluffton we'd get some flooding on the roads 

I just got home from evacuating as Ian was originally going to hit the Tampa Bay area directly and I'm in a mandatory evacuation zone. We were so incredibly lucky the storm spared us this time, no damage to my home, just a lot of tree debris in the yard. Our neighbors down south need everyone's prayers, this storm was devastating!

thank you so much Sat! I am Bradenton/Sarasota area so we didn't get it direct thankfully but got a lot of wind and rain and had a little bit of damage to my house. Hoping it's a quick and easy fix! but it could've been worse. and we have power back so that's good too!

also thinking of anyone who was south of me, they got hit so hard
