Joel called me from work yesterday and asked me to drive down with the cat carrier because he found a kitty behind the trash can and the humane society wouldn't come and get it.

So, of course, I did - because KITTY!

Once I picked him up, I called the humane society to fill out a found report, but elected to keep him until the point (if it happens) when someone says they lost him. I would be totally devestated if my cat got out and no one called and just kept him. But so far, no one has claimed him.

Assuming that no one does claim him (which after 24 hours they should have noticed he was missing?) then we will be keeping him! I think they get 30 days.

He's so cute! And he's so tiny! Pictures don't even do him justice, he looks so much bigger in all of them. I did take him to the vet yesterday so they could confirm that he is a boy and tell me how old he was (since I was not entirely sure he was old enough not to be nursing). He's 6 weeks.

I love cats! And I've been wanting another one for forever, but our apartment says we can only have two pets and we already do. We are moving soon though, so I am not that worried about it.
