I was just thinking that it would be nice if we got notified of replies to topics we subscribe to or started via messages.

Perhaps there could be a new inbox added titled "Notifications" speficically for this. Club and Association automatic messages could also be transferred and read here.

Just a thought.

I want to add in a notification system for like forum replies and some other things in the near future :). We had it slated for earlier, but the cash shop took a lot longer and more bug fixing than we thought it would.

if we do this can there be a setting to turn it off? 

I'm happier just looking at the forum rather than getting a message any time someone posts in a forum game etc   

Yeah, so it'll be a setting on your Edit Profile page. Basically you will be able to turn on/off each type of notifications, which would tenatively be: a reply on a forum topic (which you will also be able to do by topic on the forums), being outbid on an auction, when someone autobuys an auction or an animal, when someone requests your private shows, when someone sends you money/bucks, etc.

I was thinking messages which would be optional, but maybe we could do a separate folder for them or something, too. To keep it all kind of neat and tidy. But that's something that we would decide based on what the majority of players wanted!
