My son is turning 3 in March - and because I am a single mother it is only natural that I want to give him the world, and more. I just booked up a vacation for 5 day stay in Orlando at Wyndham Resorts (I have a timeshare), and we will be obtaining  4-Day Park Hopper tickets for March 6-10th. 

I cannot WAIT to see the look on his face when we arrive at Disney! This will be his first time going! I can't wait to take sooo many pictures of him and watch him ride the rides and see all the characters! I am soooo ready to go. 

Does anyone have any tips; or maybe even favorite rides for littles?
I'm still in the process of planning and researching - but could use all the help I can get! 

It's going to be a 4-4.5 hour drive for me to get there. :3

You should check out vids on YouTube. There are amazing ones on there.

Book your food reservations the earliest day they will let you (60 days out I believe) - trust me. Things book FAST there. 
Plan in a rest day to veg at your hotel pool. Walking around Disney is no joke! I usually clock 6-10 miles in each park and that's going to 1 park a day.
Turtle talk with crush is an activity that is so fun! Most of the rides are geared towards kids - except for Yeti/Exploration Everest, Rockin Rollercoaster, Tower of terror.. and maybe one or two others. 

Pack meals! If you don't wanna spend money on water bottles, snacks, etc - pack meals. You can bring in water bottles, uncrustables (freeze them, let them thaw in your bag while you walk around - boom perfect midday snack), fruit gummies etc that the kiddo likes to munch. 
COMFY SHOES! You're gonna be walking a lot. 

baby powder. Hear me out! Florida is humid and if it's hot? Baby powder. Little bit on your thighs wear your thighs or pants rub? Magic! 

Take a rain coat. Florida weather is unpredictable and $8-15 for a crappy plastic poncho that you throw away? Not worth it. 

Get the app. Knowing the wait times for the lines? Super helpful! Use your fast passes for the big rides - don't waste them on things like Peter Pan or pirates - those kinds of rides wait times aren't that bad and are usually indoor / cool air. 

wanna make some true magic for kiddo? Plan atleast 1 character meet. The Disney app will tell you where they are and when. Get to that spot 20 minutes early so you're one of the first in line!

I haven't been since I was a preteen, but I watch wayyyy too many videos in hopes I'll go again in the future and I second everything Sat said! She covered all the major points I was going to mention. xD Great advice there. ♥

I'm glad we are able to take food! I do love the idea of the crustables. I'll probably pack him some grapes, crustables, cheese sticks, and maybe pretzels. He got a cirkul bottle for Christmas, so I'll be taking that for him as well. I'd rather him drink his water vs sugary drinks in the heat (he has a heart problem- a VSD which is a hole in his heart)

I know he has NO IDEA that he is going - but I swear if he knew I'd be more excited than him. I went as a baby (obviously don't remember) and went last year for my 30th birthday (Magic Kingdom).

Dang, 6-10 MILES?! I really hope that I lose some weight with all that walking. Now that you mentioned that - I'm going to make sure I take his stroller, because I feel that is too much for a 3 year old. XD My kid is going to be KNOCKED out! 

Never tried baby powder for chaffing - but I'll def take some in case. In the military we used deodorant! :D Thick girl probzzzzz!

@Lumos - absolutely! I would love to show my adventures with you guys! It's very much so needed (probably more so for me - than my son). I am def. the most excited one. With all this divorce crap - I want him to know I love him and I'll do anything to show him that I will always be there for him doing what I can to keep him happy.

I've been researching everyday... looking up tips and tricks, rides on the internets, Disney hacks! I've already learned soooo much. It's really a lot to take in but hopefully I'll be able to remember everything - I am just so ready to go! I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!!
