Hello! I'm Arinor. I wasn't super active socially before, so I don't know if anyone remembers me, lol. I took an unexpected hiatus a few years ago (that hacking thing scared me more than it should have done, lol...), but I'm finally back!

I'm a 32-year old woman, born and raised in Alberta. Originally came to HP from Horseland, of course. XD I've never had horses IRL, as much as I'd love to, but I do have a dog named Ditto, a 6-year-old Akbash/Maremma/Bouvier de Flanders mix. I currently work in a fabric store, but want to eventually be able to support myself with my writing (I mostly write fantasy).

On HP, I had just reached Gen 10 in my Gypsy Vanner lines when I left. I may start up a new GV line eventually, but for now I've picked Andalusians to be my main horse breed, with Thoroughbreds, Friesians, and possibly Arabians on the side.  I'm toying with the idea of starting a Great Pyrenees line too, since neither the Akbash nor the Maremma are on HP, but I think GPs share a lot of similarities with the Maremma. (I know HP does have the Bouvier de Flanders, but to be honest I don't find them very pretty =P )

Welcome back! I was still on hiatus myself when the hacking bit happened so I don't think I was around then you were playing. I came back a year ago this month ^-^

I love love love Pyrs so I would it would be amazing to see another breeder but I can see wanting what your dog is actually made of xD In case you hadn't seen it yet, there was a breed clean up a couple of months ago and if you wanted a breed added back that's an option. I'm not sure if Akbash or Maremma were on HP in the past but you can check out the "Get A Breed Added" post and lobby to get one (or both) added either way. On another note, I started up Mutts because I also had a Great Dane mix of some sort and all my mutts are based on him :D

@trig I thought I remembered seeing the Maremma in the breed list before, but it makes sense if they were removed in the clean-up-- I don't think they're a well-known breed. Even IRL, I've resorted to saying either "she's a mutt" or "a mix of European herding breeds," because listing the names only results in confused looks. XD Most people assume Irish Wolfhound... except for one lady who guessed Golden Retriever, lol!
I've thought about seeing if I can get Akbash and Maremma (re?)added, but I might wait until I can save up enough HPD to then do her as a project dog, because I think that could be fun.
Also I love the art on your mutts XD
