Oh so many things!! I'm grateful to run a farm, grateful for my clients, grateful it's not raining anymore, grateful for my husband, and my dad, and I'm grateful that, for today, I'm healthy! |

I am grateful that not only is it a Friday with a weekend of sleeping in and playing video games ahead, but this was also a payment week! Yay paychecks! |

The fact that the UK's National Health Service (NHS) exists. I was in hospital from 23:45 on Tuesday night until I was discharged just after 17:00 today. Proceedures included CT scan, x-ray, blood tests, operation and multiple painkiller dosages. Immediate cost to me? £0, because I pay National Insurance from my wages every month. I didn't have to wait overly long before I was seen to (approx. 5 hours) and then given an assessment and painkiller, then surgery on Weds morning. Which is amazing, considering the insane amount of pressure the Service and staff are under right now. The staff were faultless and service excellent. And I get to go back for another op in 6 weeks. lol |

Echoing that, Kuwait! I am also grateful for Australia's healthcare system. I have been hit with the flu the past couple of days, and have received world-class medical care, without spending a single cent. |

Just to add, America does have a system that does this! Well, in my state its called medi-cal (i'm in california) but you do have to 'qualify' aka not make more than $xxx a year. Above that and youre supposed to get your own insurance. I got in a horse riding accident where I broke 4 spinal processes, 4 ribs, punctured a lung, and got road rash that had to be debrieded pretty intensely. I was in ICU for 7 days and whole hospotal for 9. I paid $0! It was a massive bill, that I saw and never heard a thing about. And afterward, I was appointed a person to call and check on me to make sure I had the meds I needed! I was riding again in 6 weeks XD because I'm nuts. But anyway. It's not always bad in America! |
