Hey guys, so just would like some advice!

I'm moving my horse into a new barn in the new year, with an indoor(OH MY GOSH IM SO EXCITED!!)
It's going to be scary, just because I'm not sure how she is going to react. She's a tad herd bound, or buddy sour. However you want to put it. Cannot be in the barn without another in there. Which is the biggest reason why I'm moving her. I can't do anything because there is no indoor, and all the shavings are going in the arena(yuck) and the barn owner's horses are just...there. The best way to describe it is that it's the ultimate horse retirement center, tbh. The others don't have jobs.

So I've checked out a few places and found what I feel is the best one, with the best care(world class care just because one of the owners is an international eventer and uses what he learns on all of the horses there, even yours if you agree)I spent an hour, just looking around and watching the place. No drama. Thats a huge one. He even said that if someone creates drama, they are out.

So my plan is this:

Once I move her, get her back into the routine of saddling, bridleing and working, and come spring, part board her out. She's sensative, so I can't have anyone that is strong.

I know the biggest concerns is having a non-experienced rider, or even a too strong of a rider, ruin all of the progress we have made, and to go against my wishes.

But I need the extra help, and I know she will love working. It'll help with board costs, but mostly, it will help work her brain!

A lot of owners at the barn I ride do that. I do that with the horse I ride, I pay the owner for 3 days on him every month and it helps her out since her work prevents her from getting to the barn every day. She knew I was a good enough rider to not be to hard with him but for his other shareboarder (that's what we call it) she watched a few of the rides before she decided if she would let the person continue to ride. So that might be something to do, try to find people who are really willing to work with you in order to ride your horse. When I first started riding I would text the owner after every ride to tell her how everything went and she was really grateful for that, so maybe make that a requirement at first until you feel you can really trust the person? I know for the other shareboarder the owner went through a few people before she found one that her horse got a long with and she could trust, so it'll probably also take some time too.

Thanks guys :)

I was thinking on a paid trial, one month where it is a lower cost, just to see if they work well. 2 visits a week and i would watch everything just to see how they get on.

She is tricky sometimes, and loves to play games lol.she can jimp, but im not willing to take the risk of her going lame just to please all of thw hunter jumpers out in my area. She is strictly for dessage now. She had a serious crack as a result of bad farrier qork, and now has damage in her coranary band. Thankfully she is sound, but i dont want to add the extra stress of jumping.

And there isnt a real way of enforcing the so many rides a week. Not everyone is honest. Im sure if i explained to the barn owner, she would let me know.

I am just so terrified of her freaking out and harming someone i guess. Shes sweet, but shes a mare and she has her moments. I know how she is but she would seem like the devil to most people
