Okay guys so the absolute cutest thing happened to me at work this week.

a small child (maybe six) came up with an absolute mountain of pony and horse books, and she's very shy and I'm a little bit scary (Cat has RBF and Cruella hair and looks the part of the villain) and so she puts them on the counter and (she's not entirely verbal either) I started asking her our typical yes or no questions and her mom told me she absolutely LOVES ponies.

so we have a therapy horse coming next week (which I'm missing bc I'm on vacation and am very upset about) and I asked her if she wanted to take our lot of Breyer books out too- and friends, we have the entire collection. Yes I've read them all. Absolutely precious.

so I was telling the mom about the books and how they came separately or bundled with the stablemate sized models, and she said she didn't even know they made bundles and bundles of model horses.

so, I got my moms help and we dove into our storage compartment to find the doubles that we hadn't melted and re-sculpted yet; and we found a couple, but couldn't get to all of the boxes.

so I bring these into work and this tiny human screams, hugs me, and asks if I'll play with her.

y'all could catch literal Cruella deVil playing ponies with a six year old on the floor of the library today.

That's amazing! I absolutely adore the pure joy and simple hapiness of children. And all it truly takes is a small act of kindness. I bet she would have loved to just talk forever about different horses and her favorite and what she would name it if she had one haha.
