Feeling frustrated. Why is it no one will do any for me? This account is hanging on by the skin of my teeth, but eventually my hpp are going to run dry. But several others can work out deals for only $1? Yes, I prefer to stay around 250mil not 300mil, but I may also possibly be in the market for more than one. I'd also love to work out deals including x number of training tickets sets too other other services. But no one seems interested even though I know there are people out there looking for tickets right now.

It's a tricky situation we are currently in atm. With prices going up everywhere, the cost of upgrades have gone up to sellers and being passed onto buyers. I don't know what the answer is!

People aren't selling for $1 though, they've paid privately/worked out a swap for tixs*

I know they're not selling for $1, but I've been trying to get someone to trade for tix for me like they are with others.

Ditto as City said. I recently 'purchased' an upgrade for $1 in the auctions, but it was in payment for an image that I'd made. I don't know anybody who gets $1 upgrades without having worked out an exchange to make sure that the players on both side are getting a good deal. I think there are fewer people selling upgrades presently than there were a year - or certainly two years - ago. Hope you find one.  :)

It really is tough atm.

Since I started selling upgrades, I've see the price go up for me by about £3-4, that here is easily a lunch/dinner.

Unfortunately, that is not a cost I can just soak, so as a seller, I need to pass that onto the buyer.

What doesn't make sense to me though is that the exchange is for hpd which isn't going to help you in rl so why increase upgrades to 300mil hpd anyways?

Because the RL cost has gone up, so therefore I can't "sell" as many, and need to make as much as I can per upgrade. The RL cost needs to be passed on*

It makes 0 sense to be selling for the same price, when it is costing ME more. Tbf I don't sell to the public, but I've had similar convos with people who have.

There's a supply problem. Too many buyers and not enough sellers, so of course when there's a small spike in demand, people are willing to pay higher for the product. The value of the dollar in RL is going down thanks to inflation; right now, spending any RLD on a SIM game is what many would consider a luxury. So of course prices are going to increase a bit when people no longer consider 230mill or even 250mill for a 6mo upgrade worth it to fund their own gameplay.

It is very unfortunate right now for sure Nad, and I'm sorry you are having a tough time finding an upgrade, but believe me when I say you are not the only one. There are many players looking and not able to get any. 

Spending RL money on SIMS games is a luxury expense, and many people are unfortunately running out of those funds. Therefore not as many players are offering upgrades, and when they do, they are going to want to get as much HP dollars as they can. 

Supply and demand is a tricky thing and it happens every single day in RL, so of course it is going to come across to an online game. 

Unfortunately there isn't much of an answer right now, as to lower prices for everyone we would have to get all buyers AND sellers to agree to not go over a certain amount for the upgrade. Which will never happen. People have a right to ask and pay what they feel things are worth and the other party has the right to accept or refuse the offer. 

As far as the ticket trade for the upgrade, on average, if we say horse tickets go for 180k, if you multiply that by 75 tickets per set, that is $13.5 mill per set value. Upgrades right now are going quite regularly for $280 mill. So for a player to do a ticket trade for an upgrade, that's roughly 21 sets of tickets. 

Players won't want to only get a few sets here or there to eventually add up to that total, they have to spend their RL money right then and there, and there is no guarantee that they will get paid for it in tickets if they're not available right then. I know I wouldn't want to spend RL money and then just hope I get paid back for it, it's never a fun position to be in. 

Keep trying and hopefully something will come along. I know the upgrade is definitely a huge perk, but it's not the end of the world if your upgrade runs out and you would need to play as a basic until you can get an upgrade! :)
