Tablets?

I'm in the market for a good new tablet. I mainly use gimp (2.6) right now, but if they came with photoshop, I wouldn't complain at alll.
My picks right now:
What tablets would you suggest? I would be using them for graphics, along with editing photos for my photography hobby.

I have a Wacom Bamboo and I really like it, but I don't do the kind of art that you might be using it for hardly ever anymore. I think mine is a little small for my current computer, but that all kind of depends on your screen and your desk and stuff. |

haha ditto sam. Mine is a tad small but it is like 7 years old or something crazy. I have the Wacom Bamboo Fun - it works wonders for what I need it to. I have thrown it around quite a bit moving ect and its been wonderful.. it survived a semester in my handbag at uni so the thing is indistructable. I would defo spend the money on a wacom again! Its up to you what you want them for :) Read up on the reviews coz its a personal choice but you can't go wrong with a good wacom! I would get a slightly bigger one than what I have now.. if I could justify buying another one now that I hardly do art :( |

I would go with the 2nd one on your list, the Capture. I started out with the smaller Pen & Touch, and now I have the Create Pen & Touch. It comes with the Photoshop Elements, which is basically free with the Tablet, and I LOVEEE my Photoshop Elements. I wish I got mine through Amazon, so much cheaper than where I got mine! |

Wancom Bamboos seem popular, I was leaning towards the bamboo captire anyway simply because it came with photoshop. Now to start reading tutorials on ps XD |

If you're looking for a tablet and price is no factor, there's literally no reason to not go with the bamboo series. For more casual artists you really can't go wrong with a decently sized bamboo. I've had mine since '09 and other than some cosmetic damage it's totally fine.
If price is something you're concerned about, look into monoprice tablets. I've heard they're comparable to wacom, but much much MUCH cheaper (though don't come with bundled software like the create does). Link Tree |

I've had the Wacom Bamboo Create for about a year before the cord went out in it. Warranty covered it so got a brand new one, and not even a year later, that cord went out on it.. I now use the Intous Pro Small and absolutly love it! It comes with PSE 12 (which I don't like, but works.) I'm not sure what the capture comes with, maybe PSE 11 (better than 12 in my opinion.) Quite a few people have geniuse tablets, which work pretty well. ^^ |

I had a Bamboo Capture but something with it went a miss, and not sure what. So I bought a Monoprice on recommendation of a friend, and just love it. However, it doesn't come with PS but there are ways to get other programs other then gimp. :) |
