I am looking forward to making time to read nightly again now that most of the craziness has settled down - I have so many things I want to start first.

Currently readding The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller and The Shadow Rising (Book 4 of Wheel of Time) by Robert Jordan.

I recommend the Wheel of Time series to ANYONE.

Thursday Murder Club?

Just finished it, not bad, pretty easy read. I wanted something light to reset my brain after my uni literature and it did the trick :)

Also, added you on GR, I'm Skye :D

Stephen King (horror)

Jean M. Auel (prehistoric fiction)

Wilbur Smith (historic fiction/adventure)

Bernard Cornwell (historic fiction)

James Herbert (horror)

Brian Jacques (anthro animals)

Alice Taylor (Irish non-fiction). Might be hard to get. Alice tells about life when she was young.

I agree with Kuwait, Stephen King is always a good start, even if you don't particularly like horror. His story-telling and the depth of his characters is legendary. He's brought out a new series of shorter novella-style books, like Later, which is more crime-based than horror.

Oh I love king books. I used to read them as a child. Same couple, just over and over again. My moms collection got destroyed in a flood and it weirdly enough got returned to us (completely dried!) at the library I work at now! We knew b/c there were ink stains that I had photos of and signed copies.

small world, big feelings.

I did also reserve a copy of Thursday murder club! It's a book club book right now so I have to wait 🫠

Anyone that's into mysteries, please please please read Reed Queen by Juan Gomez- Jurado. It is brutal and incredibly descriptive but I cannot say enough good things about this book; especially fans of cop dramas.

I also started thre Michael Vey series today! Have been looking at it and passing on it, but it finally got me hooked.

Do!!! A mom and I almost cried over it it's so good. And then that same mom won like five free books which was cool as hecks. Also the sequel (black wolf) comes out early next year so he may get two years of book of the year in a row. I hope, it's so so good.

Added you GR peoples....I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks due to poor concentration issues and slow reading skills but will put my GR handle down for all your bookworm needs....
