So, I have some fresh, new ideas for activities! BUT , I'd love to hear feedback on what you would like to see or things you think would be fun in regards to the EC activities !

Been thinking about this for a day or so but haven't come up with anything substantial.

I wonder if we can implement something like Epic Quest, now that the beautiful Mango is stepping back? A year-long event kinda deal?

I also really like your writing competitions! And the random art comps that have been for this months clubs. (Been scratching around for a meme book cover to redraw but haven't come up with any good ones yet)

It's a difficult one, because you have to toe the line between doing something interesting, and something that isn't so time-consuming that people will be daunted. However, I do think that if the activity is really engaging then people will be willing to spend longer on it than they might do on simple tasks - Epic Quest is a prime example, but obviously that was a huge event and we can't expect similar activities to be run constantly (though, as Skell has suggested, a replacement for the Epic Quest might not be a bad idea - I recognise it's phenomenally time-consuming for the staff-member who takes it on, however).

I second NightmareQueen's suggestion of activities which require a certain degree of creativity - but where you would still get prizes for participation in the way that players currently do with puzzles etc. If it becomes a matter of 'the best writing/art wins', then that might put off people who aren't as confident in putting their creativity out there for fear of it being judged. If the reward continues to be for participation, then hopefully that might even directly encourage more creative engagement: if you can show that you have put effort into something, then you get awarded for it. One of the things I love most about the HP community is its creative side, and it would be lovely to see that nurtured further regardless of peoples talents/perceived talent level.

Or monthly animal hunts? I miss Mango's animal hunts as well.
