What Has Happened This Year?

Since it's almost the new year, I thougt it might be fun to go back and take a look at everything that has happened outside of HP in the last year!

1. I got really, really sick in January and ended up dropping out of the business program at my university because it was so bad. I become a human blood bank for all of the tests they had to run.

2. I started a blog! SizzlingMess.com. I still don't post as much as I should, partially because my photography is not blog quality when I'm trying to photograph a recipe in a dark, window-less kitchen, often after the sun goes down anyway.

3. Joel and I went to Austin, TX!

4. I sold Brooks!

5. I bought Abbey!

6. I start selling cheesecakes for money after someone offered to buy one when I made on for my grandma's birthday party.

7. I moved Abbey to a new barn, which was cheaper and which I liked a whole lot better.

8. Joel and I went on vacation to the mountains!

Not all of them, but most of them! VooDoo Doughnut, Bad Daddy's Burger Bar, Strawberry Park Hot Springs, Independence Pass, Thai Me Up, Granite Hot Springs and Granite Creek Falls

Some other highlights: VooDoo Doughnut got their tip jar stolen while we were there! We saw our first ever bear in the wild, which was pretty cool, but super scary at the time. We also went to Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Chico Hot Springs Resort and Day Spa (my favorite place in the world, ever since I was a kid), Wall, South Dakota, and Badlands National Park! I want to write about all of them, but I just have not yet had the chance to! It might be a good thing to write about this winter when it's cold and I am missing my vacation and the mountains. Wanderlust runs deep in my veins.

9. I got a lot better, my joints stopped hurting almost as fast as they started, and most of my symptoms went away.

9.5. I looked into doing the Culinary Science program in another city, but it has ostly fallen through. They require A LOT of chemistry, and most of my current credits won't transfer. So for now, it's not an option I am persuing.

10. I started Culinary school! Still don't know if I want to do Culinary Arts or Baking. Either way, it's keep me mucho busy.

11. I re-enrolled to finish my Bachelor's of Business Administration starting next semester. So I will be doing thast part time and culinary part time to equal a full schedule.

12. I sold Abbey.
