Hahaha City, I'm guessing you read the books then? The shows and movies don't ever really compare. 

I feel I don't have a specific type of show I like and its hard for me to actually binge but here are the ones I binged this year:

Apple TV has so many interesting shows, I'm thinking hard about getting it.

Here's what I've bingewatched both recently and over time that I reccomend.

Godzilla Singular Point: (Netflix) I loved it, especially the Kaiju scenes, but some of the math/psuedo-science jargon that get used a lot gets tiresome.


The Musketeers (BBC Version): (Hulu/BBC) The BBC's 3 season take on the Musketeers was a delight from beginning to end!


Mo Dao Zu Shi (Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation): (Youtube) I recently finished this Chinese anime-style series and it was better then most stuff Japan puts out recently. It also has a live action version of the series on Netflix under the title "The Untamed", that I will be watching soon.


Arcane: (Netflix) This series contains some of the most beauitful animation style I have ever seen tied with a dark, cruel and tragic story. This series is based on the game League of Legends but far surpasses the cesspool that game comes from. This is currently my 3rd favorite TV series and I am awaiting news on season 2.


Thunderbolt Fantasy: (Crunchyroll) My second favorite TV series of all time, and one that gets very little love because it's an odd medium. It's traditional Taiwain hand puppets with CGI battle effects. The story is so good though I often forget the characters are even puppets!


Black Sails: (Starz/Amazon/DVD) This is by far my favorite TV show of all time, it's a realistic telling of a prequel of Treasure Island, with both characters from the book (Long John Silver, Billy Bones) and real life historical pirates (Anne Bonney, Jack Rackham, Charles Vane). However keep in mind this show is very adult orientated, kind of like a pirate version of Game of Thrones but with a much better satisfying ending.
