suggestion/feedback summary, september 2023

Every month, by request, I will be making a post summarizing that month's anonymous suggestions/feedback, and my response to them. Each submission will have also been shared with the other admins for their feedback as well (especially if the submission specifically pertains to their job), and their views are also expressed here in my summary, as indicated. Feedback from other admins is in their words...I just copy and paste it into the post. 

All suggestions/feedback was anonymous, into the Google Form pinned to the top of this Suggestions section of the forum. The only two questions on the form ask what the suggestion/feedback is, and what today's date is, in order to help sort out when something was submitted. No player information is exchanged.

Submission #1: Would it possible for the owner of a stallion to get a notification when another player requests a breeding to the stallion? Both for public or private stud, with the option to turn that notification off if a player isn't interested in it?

I'm not sure honestly how this would be programmed in...I would have to look into it. I'm also not sure, if I did add this feature, how many people would actually use it, as, as far as I've seen, not many people request breedings from other peoples' stallions/studs? If enough people wanted this and would use it, I could definitely try to make it happen (no guarantees!).

Submission #2: The help pages look great..... but now all of the links throughout the site that used to link to the help page don't work. On the bank, on animal pages... all of the "click here to learn more about..." pages. :(

I know! Unfortunately after I did the revamp of most of the help sections (still need to change the layout on the credit help page), I started back at work. Work at one of my schools in particular has been insane. We gained like 100 kids between June and August, things in the school were barely ready for the first day of school because my school board sucks for being timely with stuff, etc. My sister is also getting married at the end of October and I'm in her wedding party, so I've had a bunch of stuff I've been doing for that as well (planning/having the bachelorette and bridal shower!), so I've not had a huge amount of spare time to work on updating the links like I would like to. Honestly I'd rather do that than plan and execute parties lol!

In short, it's a work in progress, literally. I'm using this opportunity to go through every page on HP one by one and do an update to it...formatting, rewording text, changing/updating links, etc. As of this post I've made it as far as the dogs file (I'm going alphabetically down the list of files on the database so I don't miss any pages). I am going to continue to chip away at it, including right after I make this post. If you're wondering about my progress, I've been updating the change log as I go!
