Day 3

To get us in the Christmas spirit, your task for Day 3 is to list your top 5 favourite Christmas songs.

I will then add them to a Spotify playlist will also create a YouTube playlist for those of you who can't access Spotify!) and share the links here for everyone to have access to! You can listen to the HP playlist while you do the other days of events!

For each song listed, you'll get 1000 points! 

Please also include the artist of the song that you like so I know which version to add to the list. If the artist has done more than one version (ie. Band Aid doing 3 versions of Do They Know It's Christmas over the years), please also link to the youtube version of it so I can make sure I have the right one!

Alrighty. I love Christmas music and it was hard to get a top five, but...

1. Carol of the Bells. I love this song overall, but Sandi Patty does the best version I have heard.

2. Christmas Holiday. This song by Andy Williams is just a fun song.

3. Christmas in Killarny. Bing Crosby just makes this song a joy to dance to, even if you can't Irish dance

4. The Cat Carol. Sung by Meryn Cadell. If you don't cry, you have no heart. 

5. Go Tell It On the Mountain. I have 2 favs. One by Mahalia Jackson, who does the traditional version and a modified version by Jim Nabors.

Ahhh! I don’t like Christmas very much, I’m a little bit of a grinch so I have to dig deep for the songs I remember liking! 

The one, um “I’ll be Home for Christmas” I had to look up who sings it lol, it’s Michael Buble. 

Definitely liked Feliz Navidad by Jose Feliciano as a kid.

I do actually like Mariah Carey’s song, the umm “All I Want for Christmas Is You” one. 

Okay my grandpa used to sing me “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer” but I had to look up who sings it, which is Elmo & Patsy. 

I do actually like Silent Night. It’s pretty. I believe it’s Bing Crosby? There’s a lot of prettier versions out there though.
