Important! Breeding Bug with Twins and the Cash Shop!

Breeding Bug with Twins and the Cash ShopIt's been brought to my attention via the Anonymous Suggestions/Feedback form that there is currently a pretty significant bug to do with breeding twins through the Cash Shop. In a nutshell, doing any breeding through the Cash Shop where you get twins (so Twinning , Retirement Twinning, Twinning Breeding Boost, and Trifecta) isn't inputting into the lineage table in the database properly, so if you later on try to breed 2 siblings together, it might not catch it as inbreeding. I spent the better part of an hour trying to figure out how to fix it and unfortunately struck out. I can see WHAT it's doing, but not WHY. I've put out feelers to the big boss to see if she has any ideas. All this being said... Please double check your horses or dogs' pedigrees before breeding them together, especially if you know a Cash Shop twin-related breeding was done in their lines! On the plus side, tonight I also managed to get the animal pedigree pages to show 5 generations instead of 3, so that should make things a bit easier for everyone! **Update** I've gone through and fixed any twins that were born through the above methods in 2023/2024. If you plan on doing a retirement breed for anything before that timeperiod, please check your pedigrees ahead of time to make sure you're not inadvertently inbreeding! Thanks, -Blitz P.S: If you notice a bug like this, please do not put it into the Anonymous Feedback form...contact an admin!Β ![]() ![]() |

Post has been updated. Β I'm basically cross-eyed right now from all the tedious HP back end stuff I've been working on all day AND I'm working at the barn super early tomorrow, so that'll have to do for now! ![]() ![]() |

I had no idea that this was even a thing in spite of having done a trifecta recently - thanks for catching and sorting it. ![]() |

Good news! With a mental poke from Sam, I figured out and fixed any future twin breedings both from the cash shop and the "natural" ones. Also sorted out last night after doing 150(!) breedings to try to get a set of twins naturally that it was doing it to them too. SO! Going forward any future twins born will have their lineage issue fixed. I'm now going to figure out how to find all the previous ones to fix them too manually, so it may take some time. Please still keep an eye on what you are breeding by checking your lineage first! ![]() ![]() |

The things I do for this game I tell you... ;P Β But yeah. Turns out it was a site-wide twins glitch, not just for stuff from the cash shop. Sam thinks probably since the game opened. Horses alone there's over 6,000 twins I'm going to have to manually change. So this will probably take me the rest of 2024 to chip away at fixing...I'll be starting with most recent first though, for what that's worth! ![]() ![]() |
