So my cat has fhs = https://www.petplace.com/article/cats/pet-behavior-training/feline-hyperesthesia-fhs And he went to the vet and his blood work is just fine but they said he has fleas , we havent seen any flea on any of the furbabys and what they said was fle dirt very well could been dry blood cause hes bitting and pullimg fur. Anyways in the imgur link begow is what i found on the box of the meds they want us to give him. Keep in mind last time we gave him flea meds it what made his fhs worse were he nows has to have meda daliy for life. My mom called the vet after we saw the warning and there still sayimg to give it to him. Anyone here know fhs well? Or better yet know an non chemacal (sp) way to treat fleas? Onlt thing i know of is an dawn soap sponge bath (or washcouth) and that earth grade diaomaceous stuff. I need something to treat simba and cali if it really fleas |

I'm not very familiar with FHS but I think this is what my mom gave her kitty when she had a flea infestation that wouldn't go away with regular prevention meds and she said it was like magic! They put it on her at the vet and the fleas immediately started dropping dead off of her. Do you happen to have an emergency pet hospital nearby? You could give them a call to see if they can offer you a private room to administer and watch him for a little bit. Just in case he DOES have an adverse reaction, you're right where you need to be :) |

Fhs is an seizer disorder. And the meds the vet gave me is an pill form, i talked to one of his vet team staff members i knowed all my life and she been there for me countless of times and she said if he was hers or she had an kitty with fhs she give them this still. So far seems no change in his fhs were see how he is tomorrow still lookimg for any feed back |

I found this on PetMD: Credelio™ is a monthly chewable tablet that prevents adult fleas and ticks from biting your cat. Formulated to taste like yummy vanilla and yeast, the chew is typically appealing to most cats, even ones that are picky eaters. This medication might not be a good fit if your cat has a history of seizures, and your cat must be at least 8 weeks old and weigh at least 2 pounds to safely take it. I personally use Revolution Plus on Namira, and also Sherbert before her, and never had any flea issues. Did they give you Capstar? That's a short term medicine that gets rids of fleas within about 30 minutes and seems safe for cats with seizures. |
