I have the pop-up that says 'Your trial upgrade is about to ru out in 6 days' which includes a link to the 'Getting Started Guide'. But when clicking the link, (https://horsephenomena.com/getting_started.php), the page is not found.

So THAT is where you're getting that link from! Spent an hour last night trying to figure it out lmao

The Getting Started guide was replaced by the How Do I page, which you can find under the help menu!
