May's Pet of the Month Spotlight!

Tragedy (#3473) owns this handsome pup!

* Name of Your Pet: Mirco
* Current Age of Your Pet: Turned 8 on April 4!
* What is Their Breed?: German Shepherd

1. How did your pet come into your life?
I grew up with my parents breeding and training German Shepherds for Schutzhund. Due to various things happening my parents eventually stopped. I still always wanted a GSD of my own once I was older. When I was finally ready to get myself a puppy my moms friend from all the way back in her 20s is a breeder. She happened to be having a litter and I was obsessed with the male she had bred to. Mirco was a gift from my mom and 2 of her best friends from that litter.

2. Do they have any quirky personality traits or habits?
Mirco almost always will not take a treat from your hand. When we are out in public if someone does try and give him a treat sometimes he will actually take it but generally will just set it down. It's like he is trying to be polite!

3. What is your pet's favorite toy or treat?
Mirco LOVES whipped cream. then ice cream. then chicken jerky.

4. Who is their favorite human in your household?
Me (Tragedy) :D

5. What is a special memory that you have with them?
Mirco has been with me through the toughest day and funniest hours. Each moment is special and I do not want to forget or not cherish a single one! But, the one that really stands out, is the first day I got him. I had to have him flown to me. I had actually never met him just seen photos and been told about him. I picked him up from cargo at the airport and went to the closest grass area so he could get out of his crate and I could finally meet him. It was like he had always known me and we were perfect for each other. I still cant believe how much of a perfect match we are.
