June's Pet of the Month Spotlight!

Nytmare (#991) was owned by this sweet lady!

She was 15 when she passed, I had her from six months old.
* What is Their Breed?: Pittie Mix

1. How did your pet come into your life?
I worked at a boarding/grooming kennel when I was 17ish. A guy brought her in with a huge full grown male, and told the office manager he was going to breed them. She told him that Neelah was way too small, and would not be able to carry his puppies. So he left her there. They all knew I was looking for a dog, so when I came upon her little run she was curled up all alone and covered in mange. I knew right then she was going to be my baby. I scooped her up and took her home that day.

2. Did they have any quirky personality traits or habits?
She had the biggest personality! Her favorite thing was riding around in the Mustang. I took her literally everywhere, I even snuck her into work (at the prison lol) twice. I did get in trouble for it, twice lol.

3. What was your pet's favorite toy or treat?
She loved bye-bye!

4. Who was their favorite human in your household?
Oh she was very much a momma’s girl.

5. What is a special memory that you have with them?
There’s so many, over all those years. One thing we did consistently was in the car. She would come snuggle up on my lap while I was driving. Back in the day before I met my husband I spent most weekends at home in St. Louis. We did a lot of driving back and forth. The soft glow of the stereo at night in the darkened windows, just the two of us on the open road. She was so perfectly my best friend.
