So, I'm sure someone has done this before but I wanted to give it a go myself. I am starting with two sets of store bought Quarter Horses. One pair is on an upgraded account and will get only enter all shows. The second pair will be on a basic account and have hand picked shows. I want to see how much difference there is between basic and upgraded training. I thought it could be fun to watch and see and share my results here. So each week, after all of that weeks shows have run, I'll post their points here so that everyone can see how it goes. :)

*Special notes: The first major difference is basic accounts only get 70 shows a week vs. 80 shows that upgrades get. This also means they only get 28,000 entrance points vs. 32,000 entrance points.

Insomnia - i can just do private shows for the 1 horse if you want to do hand picked per day.  I don't need anymore horses right now lol :)  so im good with just doing 1 horse for this experiment. 

Just want to put this out there as an option for anyone who is doing a pair and wants to enter them in private shows, I'd be willing to donate a couple of spots. For anyone that's interested, feel free to send a message my way! :D

Thanks Oak - i am just going to do 1 AQH. don't have the time right now to committ to entering every day :)  

Would the shows still work if i do 15 one day and 12 the next? or should i keep it at 10 every day?

@fantasy - Yeah that's perfectly fine with me if you want to do that for the shows. :D I'm just here along for the ride and to provide a couple spots in my horse shows to whoever wants. 

I bought my AQH for my experament.  Should i make another forum with my results?  i am only going to do 1 horse instead of a pair.  So anyone with private shows let me know.  if i don't get enough during the week i will not supplement with other shows she just won't get trained....or other ideas if i don't get enough private shows during the week?

This week the upgraded pair soared ahead. The upgraded mare took the lead by gaining about 100k total points, upgraded stallion gained 84k, basic mare earned 63k, while the basic stallion stays in last place gaining 81k.

It's also interesting to note that placing 1st  - 5th in a show seemingly has little effect on points. Below I have listed the total places for each and you'll see this is not showing in the points.

updated my scores, my hand picked show horse got around 30k more than the enter all high priced horse. I did bump them up to 100 energy this week so we will see how it goes.

I'm a little late getting up the results but here they are. Nothing too exciting. The upgraded pair remains in the lead and I don't think that will really change.

Insom - the difference between hand picked and enter all is pretty big!

and  updated again... hand enter only seems to be putting more points between them each week lol

Insom- that is crazy how much more it has. lol It's coming up on the heels of mine that are 2 weeks ahead.

(p.s. my week 5 results are up and the basic account are slowly lagging further behind the upgraded pair)
