So, Noodle is a terror. He runs around the house with his claws out jumping on and off of furniture, attacks us and tears skin all the time (including while we sleep), and sharpens his claws on the bed despite having a scratching post (which he also uses).

SO we got him claw caps. Which are seriously the best thing ever right now.

He's already managed to lose two of them, but even with two of them off he can't do the same level of damage which is amazing. He still tries to go after us but now it doesn't hurt at all. Which is nice since while I'm on my laptop he likes to dive under it and then claw at my hands from below. Last week he caught his claw in the skin right beside my fingernail and dug it so deep he couldn't get it out. It was bad.

Anyway, so this is awesome while he is learning not to be such a terrorist!

Mr. Noodle!!!
Be a nice kitty for your momma! D:
We have two cat towers, a scratching post, and still Emmie likes to use her claws too! She's learning that having them clipped isn't the end of the world but that usually ends with her biting and trowing a fit. Have you guys introduced Mr. Noodle to the nail clippers yet?

Hopefully you wont have to use them forever! Β I used them on Smudge for about a month and that was enough to get her to stop being so "clawy". Β The fell off one by one and that was that!

we just clip pasha's nails.
still has enough to climb up his scratching post (its a diy so its super tall)
hes not really into clawing. just climbing and ankle biting for wet food (he climbs up our pants)
he does like to bunny kick and thats where the claws usually hit

Be careful with them. I used to use them, but then once Meru's claws grew faster then the claw caps fall off, and the cap started digging into her skin.... anyway, we had to go to the vet and have them cut it off of her (which was a great deal of pain for her, obviously) - haven't used them since. Just trim the cat's nails regularly instead. They look cute, though, when they're in bright colors haha

You do have to trim their nails to use them, we use one of the buzzer thingys. But we tried JUST trimming his nails and found that he worked harder to re-sharpen them on the furniture/bed.

Also! The pack we got had two sets, so there was this light blue/glittery one, and then there's a neon yellow/green one if we have to do them again after these fall off. We're only doing his front feet, though, so hopefully we won't need to buy them as often if he doesn't quit clawing.

I didn't know that, now I do! Never used them before or knew of anyone that used them, so I only saw them on the pet store shelves, haha!
Vote goes to the blue/glittery ones next! :D

I feel your pain with having a terror with claws on the end of it. Myrrah is a crazy kitty, and without those she literally climbs the door frames. Hopefully Noodle tollerates you handling his paws more than Myrrah does. Even when I just try and trim them, she has usually had enough by the end of... the first nail? Yeah. It's fun. :P

I have them for my cats bc the one is a rug ruiner and the other furniture. It helps for the most part. I have not had any problems so far except i have to sit in the bathroom for like a half hour with them for the glue to set good or they will rip them right back off, little snots.
