So, I was thinking...it would be cool if you could buy extra breed specialties in the cash shop...so then people like me who want a few breeds but only one account could do it, and Sam/the game would still make money! And it'd be cool if you could buy unlimited specalties. I remember there was something about "Gold" upgrade before, but I think this is a good idea. Thoughts?

Someone suggested this before and we all liked the idea! Basically we were talking about being able to pay the same amount as an upgrade for a second breed speciality on an account.

I still like the idea a lot! :)

To me it would be more worth the money to just buy another upgrade, that way you get the shows/tickets vs just the breed specialty

Well I think it should be cheaper than a full blown upgrade, otherwise you're right and you might as well just upgrade another account. But not everone wants a lot of accounts, but does want more than one breed...so if we charged, say $10 for 6mo instead of $15....or like, a one time fee of $50 or something (and how ever much HPD, HPP, etc), know what I mean?

As said in the other topic(s), the reason for it being the same price as another upgrade is so that Sam doesn't lose money from upgrade purchases, which I completely agree with. People usually upgrade new accounts to be able to have a new breed specialty, so it would be unfair to Sam (and the whole game) to take that away.

If you don't think it's worth it just for the breed specialty, you're welcome to upgrade another account, while people like me would be happy paying $15 for another breed specialty on my main account. I don't want a handful of upgrades just to have other breeds on them. I don't care that much about the tickets and shows, and I would happily give them up if it meant being able to have my Curly Coats on my main with my Labs. As it is two of my upgrades are expired and my dogs not being trained because I haven't gotten around to renewing them. If I had a 2nd breed specialty on my main that would expire if/when my main's upgrade did, I would be super happy.

I agree with Shae! No upgrades mean no income to pay for the sites hosting etc :(

But 15 sounds like a lot for another breed.. I understand 15 for the upgrade on the account but with the breed speciality you don't get private shows and horse tickets..I would think paying 10 dollars would be a fair price for the second breed but thats just my opinion (:

^Mem, that was my thought process. Basically, there are players like me who would like a few more breed specalties but not other accounts. I'd pay $10 for an additional breed specialty, but I'm not going to bother paying $15 for another account because I only want the specality, not the shows or tickets. So really, I think it's an opportunity to MAKE money, not lose it. People with a ton of upgrades tend to have them for the tickets and shows as well as breed specality, not just the specialty. 

I think the best way for everyone to be happy and for Sam to not lose any money would be to have an ability to link accounts under 1 login.

Peach, that would definitely be the best, but it's going to be very costly to do. I understand what you all are saying that you are getting less, and thus should pay less, but it just wouldn't make sense for Sam to offer a breed speciality, which is one of the main reasons that people upgrade other accounts, for any less than a typical upgrade. Maybe it could be programed that if you get the second breed speciality you can get double tickets, double private shows on that account as well?

It would have to be $15 across the board for double breed speciality or a 6 month upgrade.  You guys may only want to pay a LITTLE bit less by $10 instead of $15, but at that rate you are still taking $5 out of Sam's pocket and essentially the game.  It may not seem like a lot of money at the time but it adds up.  10 people buy the breed specialty instead of upgrading a 6 month at that reduced rate of $10 and that's already $50 at a loss.  Not to mention how it would effect points for public trained animals as there would be less public shows.  If someone decided to do double breeds on 5 accounts instead of 10 accounts that's 5 public shows out of circulation.  So eventually, the shows would be getting more flooded and less points all around.

Also, think about how it would effect the upgrade auctions for people that sell upgrades for an income that don't have the ability to offer graphics/coding/etc.  I think the way the game is set up now benefits everyone.  If it ain't broke don't fix it IMHO.  It may be a "pain" to have to switch accounts to get to your other breeds for the breed specialty, but that's how the game has always been set up. 

I do like the option of having linked accounts!  I think that would be fantastic!  However, something like that would be expensive to implament, and by offering a double breed specialty at a reduced rate would only halt/slow the ability of that becoming a reality.
