Horsey updates, like the title says.

999First thing's first - Fred is back home. The pasture didn't work out. He lasted one day before he started attacking the donkeys and he got booted. There was no other pasture he could go to, so he had to leave. I was half bummed about it, but half happy to have him only a mile from home? I mean, he's lived at his current place for 13 years and he seems happy. So for now, and probably forever, he'll stay. I got some photos of him, and you can tell he's super uncomfortable in the pasture. Poor guy. :/



So he came home, with a halter to match his personality x.x

Catt has been having a rough time, haha.
He had a month off after straining his SI muscle. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't worth risking him tearing it or causing permanent damage, so I gave him some time off. It was the rainy season anyway. The first two weeks he was back though...He played the same game he played when he was 3 and had 60 days on him.The"I swear to all things holy it is impossible for me to turn right without first backing up 900 steps and then trying to rear if you push me." so uhm, that took a bit of time to get through. An entire week ofriding in a snaffle going only to the right. Fun fun times. Ugh. Friggin' Catt. He's over it though! Now he's just weak on the right side, which is the side he had the small strain on. Makes sense.So now lots of spirals and circles and leg yields to the right, which he loves (this is a lie) and it totally happy doing (also a lie) so we can get ready and in shape for the show season (this is the truth)

"Guys, I had to do like FOUR leg yields! Call animal control!"

And because I don't have enough to do!!! I agreed to start riding Moxy again! If any of you guys were on HMF, maybe you remember I used to ride two cutting mares before I went away to school? One of them, Wena, has had a series of colics and she is going to surgery soon (poor girl :/) but the other, Moxy, is doing fine and needs someone to lope her during the week during show season. I said I could do it once or twice. I missed her! She's so long backed,short necked, and pissy. I love her! :p Here is my fat butt and my trainer's skinny butt cutting on her, haha





Also, anyone got a spare 20k? 'Cause this new colt came in and I want him. First of all his name is Jacob (Fred and Jacob, how cute!) and second of all, he's got a mane! and dapples! and a mane! did I mention I've never had a horse with mane?! MANE!



And finally - sorry for pic spam. I am sick and bored of being sick so you all get an excess of photos. Finally! Dixie made friends with a Corgi Aussie mix named Panda! He's 10 weeks old and a little chunk!

She has another colt coming soon, a red dun, who is a son of Hollywood Dun It. Her mare, Doll got an AI from the frozen samples they saved of Hollywood Dun It before he passed away. I'm so excited to meet him! He's coming this summer to get started. he's a TINY guy, so they had to wait until he was 3 and a half to start him.

Thanks Chaotic and Duckie! My trainer always laughs at us because we spin kinda slow (he's a big boy! its hard to move!) but he's always technically correct. She always says "at least we know hes trying" x.x poor guy haha
