I would love to get Texas Heelers added! Lets get a couple breeders going so we can have them added pwease!!

They brought two lovely worlds together of an Australian shepard and a Australian Cattle Dog into one making a breed called Texas Heeler!

They have the characteristics of both breeds in their own special way - so you can get many different out come of genetics of the pups on how they will possibly look! You could have a pup that looks more aussie and one more like a cattle dog or mix of both and they're just beautiful dogs all around. They're smart, hard working, loyal dogs!! I KNOW BECAUSE I HAVE ONE!!

Well obviously I have to do this cause we are pretty sure one of our dogs is a Texas heeler. Lol she is short and stout with blue heeler markings but is super fluffy like a shepherd.

Could also do Hanging Tree Cowdog - mix of Border Collie, Kelpie, Australian Shepherd, and Catahoula dog. I was told that is what my girl is...but i think she is mix with something else...

I don't like breedin to acheive, as you can't breed a blue heeler to a texas heeler to get a texas heeler, it becomes a mixed breed.  i would only breed if they can be bought from the store as a texas heeler

You might be able to get them added to be bought from the store as is, I would still ask! :)

I can't speak for Koni seeing as she is the one who's in charge of breeds being added in any form, but I will say that it would have to follow these requirements in order to get added to the store as opposed to being a breed-to-achieve:

@Fantasy: ...I don't think we have Blue Heelers on HP, as a breed-to-achieve OR as a store/cash shop breed...so I'm not quite sure what you're talking about here?

A blue heeler = Australian Cattle Dog. 

I think she was just saying that if you breed the two breeds, and then breed the crossbreed offspring to one of the main breeds that makes it a mixed breed vs the same breed as the parent dog that was the corssbreed.

Koni won't add them to the store to be bought, which is fair - if this has changed let us know though, I'd love to bring a few of my old breeds back that used to be in the store but were removed during the change to the new breed to achieve system.

I really don't like breed to achieve as it takes so long to establish the breed and you can't add fresh blood into your breeding. just seems like its a way to not have new breeds that were made from a mixed breed parent.

I believe you're incorrect though...breeding one of the "parent breeds" to the breed-to-achieve crossbreed should still give you the crossbreed.

Eg. Golden Retriever male x Poodle female = Goldendoodle male. That Goldendoodle male x Golden Retriever female = Goldendoodle of whatever gender (not inportant to this example).

It's meant to be that way, anyways. If you notice one we missed the crossbreed x parent breed for, let Koni or I know and we'll add it as a crossbreed AND fix the offspring that got a wonky crossed breed (eg. Goldendoodle x Poodle as the pup's breed).

Seeing as I breed both Heelers and Aussies already it doesn't bother me much lol 

maybe its a glitch, but i tried breeding my azteca gen 2 to anohter andalusian and i got a: Andalusian x Azteca. So i stopped breeding them.

Alright, a few things to make note of here! I'll go in order from top to bottom. 

Krystique, as Texas Heelers are not a recognized breed by AKC, UKC, or CKC (or other international registrations I have found) these would be considered a mix breed, and would be a Breed-to-Achieve breed between an Austrailan Cattle Dog and an Austrailan Shepherd so I am happy to add them into the game. They will be a cross between the Australian Cattle Dog and the Australian Shepherd, and then if bred back to the original parent breeds will stay as a Texas Heeler. 

Due to the political attachment to the Hangin Tree Cowdogs, we will not be adding them to the game either as a Breed-to-Achieve or as a store-bought option. 

Fantasy, I am not sure where you are getting that BtA does not allow the dog/horse to be bred back to the parent breed but that is incorrect. If there is one that is not breeding properly, please let me or Blitz know as we can fix the glitch as well as fix the breed on the pup/foal that was coded incorrectly.

This is incorrect. We use AKC, UKC, CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) and FCI for dogs. 

As for the Azteca, they are not a BtA breed and are a store-bought breed therefore breeding them to an Andalusian would in fact give you a mix-breed foal. 

As of 10:40AM 11/11/2024, Texas Heelers have been made a BtA breed and are able to be bred by the above cross. 

Aztecas are not available in the store, fwiw
